Well, here I am back at with something different again, this time is Mal and Evie friendship. I don't know why, I just really like their friendship and there isn't that many fics like that, so here I am :) Enjoy! *Fist-bump*
Believe it or not, the (used to to) evil Mal and Evie, were best friends. They both loved each other very much, even though it was hard for Mal to admit it. They were born evil, but were now trying to be good. Some things were hard, but one thing is for sure: they would stick together no matter what.
"Hey, E, are you okay?" Mal asked her typically perky friend.
Evie wouldn't look her in the eyes. "I'm fine, Mal."
Mal, who was typically not the affectionate type, ran her fingers through Evie's hair and whispered, "Talk to me, I know you not doing so well, so what's up?"
Evie sighed. "It's nothing, just drop it."
Mal knew that Evie wasn't typically the stubborn type, so she pushed further. "No, you drop the act. I can tell something is wrong," she softly urged.
Evie finally just turns to her and yelled harshly, "Just leave me alone!"
Mal stumbled back as if her friend had burned her. Evie was never like that, so something was definitely wrong. She decided to just give Evie some space. Mal was about to walk out the door when she heard Evie sniffle. She turned to find her best friend crying into her hands.
"I'm so sorry...," Evie whimpered.
Mal ran back over and hugged her friend.
Evie hugged her back and cried into her shoulder. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry," Evie whispered over and over.
Mal hugged her friend closer. "It's okay, E..."
Evie turned he head and kissed Mal on the cheek, which, in turn, made her friend jump, but Mal secretly liked it. Evie let her go and. "Even if it's 'okay,' I still feel bad for yelling."
Mal shrugged. "We're VK's, yelling was what we did."
Evie looked down. "But not anymore..."
Mal gently lifted Evie's chin up and looked into her eyes. "Hey, it's okay," Mal comforted. She almost cringed at the softness in her voice, but paid more attention to her crying best friend.
Evie leaned slightly into her touch.
Mal could feel Evie's tears on her fingertips, but stayed put. She moved her other thumb to brush the tears away as she asked, "What's bothering you?"
"...Is it bad that I miss the Isle of the lost?"
Mal was surprised. She honestly didn't think it was something complex like that. "Is it because you miss your mom?" she carefully asked.
Evie nodded once. "Is that bad? Does that make me not good anymore?"
Mal thought for a moment, then replied, "Missing your mom makes you bad? Not by a long shot."
Evie smiled slightly, which also made Mal smile.
She just wanted her best friend to be happy. Mal lightly kissed her friend on the forehead and whispered, "You're the best person I know, E."
Evie's smile widened at her gesture. "Thanks, M," she replied in a genuine tone.
Mal nodded and touched their foreheads together. "I love you, Evie, you can tell me things like this," she confirmed.
Evie closed her eyes. "I love you too..."
