Silver Rain
A/N: My first attempt in ToL fic, although this is the one brought me back to my love of Tales series ;) Enjoy it. Every names, and scenes mentioned is Namco's. I always hate saying disclaimers.
Summary: At the end of Chloe's character quest. The unspoken words faded along with the rain.
The small field at the center of forest, surrounded by trees. It's dark, and cold. Rains pierced viciously. Perhaps nature also released their wrath to my deed.
Coolidge, if you're another man, I'll cry on your shoulder. But I just can't do it. I came to this land as a knight, yet I fell for you as a girl. Shrouded with that dark past without pride to held.
My body is uncontrollable. I ran through, burying my face in your strong hands. The armor shattered in one glance. No longer worrying about the puddles splashed my ankles.
"Chloe" He softly gestured my hair. Why? Why are you acting like this to me? Even though you're one I'm not supposed to reach. Unknown to me, tears slid down my cheek.
The shield tied by grudge, sword seeking revenge
The weakness covered in façade.
Avoiding my own life, afraid of my true self.
One run from reality.
Until your hands make me realize.
Now in your embrace, I feel warm and secure. The warmth that is not mine, no matter how desperate I want it. Your heart already belonged to someone else. Under this rain falling upon the earth, washing my sins away. Just for that moment I prayed, for a second it's all for myself. Let the unspoken words sealed within, fly away to the soaring sky.
At least this shoulder to cry on, is mine
