Matt tapped his foot impatiently. His head swayed back and forth as music blared from his headphones. He jumped as he felt someone tap on his shoulder. Matt turned around to see Garret holding up a peace sign. Matt pushed the headphones around his neck. " You're finally here. What took you so long?"

Garret shrugged. "Well I'm here now." He slung an arm around Matt's shoulders. "You ready for our date?"

Matt nodded. "You're paying. Let's be clear on that."

Garret gasped. " I can not believe you're using me for my money. I am a poor boy, Matt. Think of the children."

"What children?" Matt and Garret started walking, small talk filling the air. "Also you're middle class."

"How do you know that? Staaaalker." Garret stage whispered that last word.

"It's not hard to tell. I've only seen you wearing nice clothing. Plus you were clearly joking."

Garret slapped his hands over Matt's eyes. "Why?" Matt asked.

"Oh you'll see." Garret turned Matt around and opened the door. He removed his hand and wrapped the arm attached to it around Matt's waist. "Welcome to the Kaelyn. Home of cuisine from around the world."

A pretty black woman with short curly hair walked out of the kitchen. "Hello Garret."

"Hey Kaelyn, this is Matt. Matt, this is Kaelyn, she owns the place."

Matt and Kaelyn shook hands. Garret found a table while the two talked.

"So how did you and Garret meet?" Kaelyn placed her hands on her hips.

"At the park. And you?"

"I'm his big sister." Matt should've guessed that. It was pretty obvious they were related just based on the physical similarities. "Anyways don't keep him waiting." Kaelyn went back to work.

Matt slid into a chair. Garret put away his phone and smiled. " What were you talking about over there? Kaelyn didn't say anything embarrassing, did she?"

Matt shook his head.
