The loud wailing of a newborn baby pierced the air. The newborn new not of who was holding her, of who this person in this skull mask was, of how she was being taken away to a life of battling creatures beyond the imagination of most people. She only knew that she was being taken away from the only person she felt happy with in her short life, as the masked man took her farther from her mother.

"Another one for the academy," the Huntsclan said, "from now on little one you will call me Huntsmaster."

The malicious eyes of the Huntsclan grew wide with fright as the dragon shaped birthmarks of him and the infant started glowing green and he started floating toward the sky (in pure comical fashion as the ceiling stopped them from flying that far until they reached a window). [1

And a wailing innocent baby girl had her life ended five minutes after it started flying into a vortex beside some of the worst murderers in the world. [2

The panicked screams of hundreds of people running away in terror could be heard for miles. The giant magical snake opened its mouth to swallow a paraplegic old lady (her son that pushed her wheelchair abandoned her in the chaos) and...

A large green laser hit the snake causing its head to crash into a nearby building. The Huntsclan that fired the blast ordered his squad to tie the monster to the ground.

"Thank you so much kind sir!" The old lady said. Similar phrases and cheering ensued from the rest of the cities populous.

The squad leader beamed. This was why he joined the Huntsclan, to help people, to keep the world safe from these magical monsters, to truly make a difference in the world.

He looked at his squad, all of whom were waving, and shaking hands, and signing autographs with the cities populous despite the Huntsclan's rule of keeping a low profile with civilians.

'Screw the rules.' He thought. 'They deserve it. And after today no Huntsclan rules will matter anyway.'

Suddenly the dragon mark on him started glowing green and he and his squad rose in the air.

Confusion and fear was the last thing he knew as he flew into the vortex. [3

Authors notes:

1.What about all the Huntsclan members inside buildings when the vortex hit? They weren't flying anywhere near the speeds necessary to break through a ceiling. Imagines Jake looking for Huntsclan during his mentioned search and opening a door to see dozens of confused Huntsclan stuck to the ceiling. :)

2.Granted I've watched American Dragon infrequently (particularly I've seen almost none of the first season) but I'm assuming Rose being taken as a baby is not uncommon in the Huntsclan, meaning many-possibly most Huntsclan are taken as newborns and raised similar as Rose, just without an influence like Jake to show them the "error of their ways".

3.The watching American Dragon infrequently also applies to this, so please correct me if I'm wrong. I've assumed that the Huntsclan perceive themselves as the good guys fight magical creatures because they believe they are all evil or freaks of nature or something like that (88 and 89's talk about "evil forefathers" and "evil-tech" aside, but they're not really the prime examples of Huntsclan). Therefore the Huntscaln must be fighting as many evil magical creatures as good ones, and many members thinking (and in many cases are) the heroes.

So this brings me to my question in the summery.

How many of them really deserved their fate?
