Mannequin
Lucy stood posed.
Both arms on her hips.
Her head stayed still.
She watched as people tugged on her clothes, checking the prices.
She watched as people walked around looking at the others.
Her eyes followed a young couple as they shopped together.
She watched as the young girl rush over to another mannequin, dragging her boyfriend to see if the outfit looked good on him.
Her eyes darted to the face of the mannequin. Eyes trailing from his lips, up to his nose then into his eyes.
To find them staring at her own.
Her eyes darted away.
As the day dragged on, Lucy felt herself getting more and more jumpy for the end of the day. Where the lights go out.
Once all the staff left and the last person locked the door, Lucy finally let out a sigh and dropped her arms down.
Yes, she was a mannequin, but you never know if they had lives or not.
And she did.
Her job was technically being a mannequin, but she got off work at night, like everyone else.
She slowly walked over to the other mannequin, her boyfriend Natsu.
She watched as his features started showing. Untameable Pink hair, onyx eyes, and that grin she loved so much.
She knew that her own features were starting show.
Once they got to each other, he grabbed her face in his hands and kissed her.
With so much passion, she felt like she couldn't breathe. Not that mannequins breathed though.
One arm snaked around his neck, while the other roamed through his hair.
They finally let go, once they heard their friends from the other departments approaching.
Lucy loved her life.
Yes I know, you must be thinking, but she's a mannequin, how can anyone enjoy being that?
Well, she doesn't need to eat, sees her boyfriend all day, gets to wear the latest fashion, and can sleep on the job.
So, her job was quite enjoyable.
She had many friends surrounding her, and the most loving boyfriend in the world.
Even though they couldn't go on dates or hold each other in the day, she had the night.
The night was theirs.
And that was enough for her.
