Ballad Of A Teenage Queen
There's no time games, no time for fun
Cause she's always on the run.
It's a pity for a girl so young.
The weight of the world on her shoulders,
Made her grow up oh so quickly.
The people need her; she's their symbol of peace.
No time for tears she has to be strong.
Maybe she's scared way up there,
But know one will ever know.
The girl has so many things to do,
Too bad her work is never through.
The people they need their Queen,
Her peace eases their war torn souls.
Fears of her own must be left behind,
So she can be a vision of hope for a brighter future.
That girl she tries so hard to make things better,
She wants everyone to believe that peace can be achieved.
It is difficult to live in a grown up world without getting old.
What she wouldn't give for a couple of days to be a kid.
But there's no times for games, no time for fun,
Cause she's always on the run.
It's a pity for a girl so young.
(A/N: I got the idea for the poem from the title of a Johnny Cash song. The poem is my own creation though.)
