Authors Notes: This is a short, short introspective on Seiya's feelings for Usagi. Seiya is a great character; very complex with a lot of underlying issues. I thought Seiya's feelings for Usagi would be something fun to explore, so, here is my interpretation. This is in Seiya's POV.

Spoilers: Well, through Sailor Stars, obviously.

~~~The Light of Hope ~~~
I am enraptured by the girl-child, Usagi. I cannot seem to get her from my mind. It's her innocence that draws me, like a moth to a flame. She has seen so much evil in her short life. Yet that evil has never touched her, spoiled her, tainted her. Throughout it all, she has maintained that which is lost so easily in this world. Therein lies her strength.
Because of her innocence, she is fiercely loyal to those she loves. Once she gives her love, she will never take it back. You belong to her forever. You may not want her love, but she will give it anyway. Her heart is so big. It encompasses all those around her, enfolding them gently, but firmly, in it's soft, snow-white wings. She'll fill you with it's warmth and light. And in the end, you cannot help but love her back. This is her power.
To some she may appear naive. Well, so what if she is? So what if she doesn't understand the concept of evil? If she cannot fathom why a person would want to hurt someone else? What's wrong with believing in love and friendship?
She is the light of hope in this world. Not only to me, but to everyone who meets her. She is a flame in the darkness that shows us the way. A fire in the winter that draws us ever closer to her warmth.
It takes a lot to believe in her. It is easier to give up than to have hope. It's easier to become cold hearted and bitter than to give your love to someone. To see her give her love so freely, so unconditionally, fills you with the hope that maybe everything will be alright after all. And it makes you wish for her strength and courage. To be able to say "I love you."
Author's Notes: I hope that Seiya's feelings came across the way that I meant them to. Yes, he loves Usagi, but not for any romantic reasons. He loves her because of what she represents: Hope, innocence, love, and loyalty. Well, enough of my rambling, I hope you enjoyed. Let me know what you think.
