Adam lay on his vanilla covered suede couch. His head and neck elevated with one of the large couch pillows. Kris, his husband, lay on his side cuddled up to Adam. They had been snuggling together for hours flipping through the book Adam held in his hands.

"Julie?" Kris asked pointing at a name in the book. "That's pretty, I kinda like that."

"Nah," Adam shook his head reaching forward to turn the page. "It's too old fashioned."

They lay reading the names in the book individually in silence. They both knew they had to pick the perfect name for their daughter. They only had a few weeks left before she would come into their lives. The nursery was done all in pink and white with glitter, rhinestones and a closet full of newborn clothes and different colored onesies galore. But they had yet to pick a name.

"Kendra!" Adam said almost jabbing his finger through the thick book with the force behind pointing at the name on the page.

"Um, no," Kris lifted his hand to push Adam's away from the name. "We will not have a daughter with the same name as a Playboy bunny."

"Party pooper."

Kris rolled his eyes and turned the page.

"Oh how about, 'Melissa'?"

"No," Adam said.

"This is going to take forever," Kris said. "We don't agree on anything."

"We'll find one, baby." Adam kissed his husband's forehead. "This book has 50,000 names. There ought to be one that both of us really like."

Both men continued their search through the book, flipping page after page and not finding anything they were satisfied with. They were losing hope in finding the perfect name for their first child.

"There! Stop!" Kris' hand leapt forward to stop his husband from turning the page. "There, right there, 'Ryleigh'" He pointed at the name on the page.

"Oh that's beautiful."

"I love it! Isn't it gorgeous?" Kris tore his eyes away from the name to survey his husband's expression, dreading disappointment.

"Yeah." Adam nodded turning to look at Kris. "I think we found our baby's name."

"Really?" Kris smiled.

"Really."

Adam leaned in to leave a peck on Kris' mouth.

"'Ryleigh Allen-Lambert', it sounds great," Adam said after Kris nuzzled back into his side.

"I'm going to go to Lowes tomorrow and buying some of those wooden letters to spell out her name and hang them in the room right above her crib," Kris said.

"Great idea," Adam squeezed Kris tighter to his side. "Can I outline them with rhinestones before you hang them though?"

Kris laughed into his husband's neck. "Of course, baby."
