A/N: We meet again. This poem I started to write in English class and thought it would be great to post! It's much different from the original and much longer too. It's also longer than my previous poem. Some of you may recognize one of the lines. It came from the dubbed version of DBZ when Goku fought Freiza and gave his dramatic speech, I believe. Or it might have come from the first Budokai game. Well anyway, enjoy!
Thoughts of a Savior
I bring the peace that every living thing craves.
I am the hope of the universe that shines through the darkness,
The answer to all those in pain who cry out for help.
I dare to dream of a time when no one has to fight for any reason.
That one day, all living things can live forever without fear.
The place of my birth was a distant place that I never knew.
Never knew the people.
Never knew the culture.
Never knew . . . my parents . . .
I imagine my home world was not much different from Earth.
I was told I was sent to Earth to destroy all life.
It sickens me to think of that now . . .
I have all I need here and I would never change it.
Change.
I don't think I've changed much.
Though my wife would prefer otherwise,
Training is my life.
Fighting is in my blood.
I know she understands that's something that'll never change.
I have met many people and am glad to have come to call most of them friends.
I fight for them as well as for my family.
I wish I could protect them always,
But I know this cannot be.
Still, I will defend them for as long as fate allows . . .
