Theme 1 out of 100: Introduction
Fandom: Silent Hill
Pairing: None
Characters: Walter & Henry
Blinding white. Murky water. The smell was awful. If I had woken up in the sewer. Each time I came to a new world I always landed strange. Always on my face. God had a funny sense of humor. Making me do all this, and then he made me land on my face.
Slowly, I got to my knees and glanced around. There were monsters everywhere. Only thing that made it safe; they were dead. I frowned. Who could have killed them? Every other world I went to the monsters savagely attacked me. Now, all the monsters were dead? This was too good to be true. There was either someone like me, an unfortunate soul trapped here, or something was wrong. I'd prefer the first, but that situation didn't seem likely.
I hoped it wasn't that. Everyone I came across died. It didn't matter. Sooner or later I would find out what had killed the monsters. I swallowed nervously. I hoped it was later. I really didn't want to meet the person who was doing all this. I don't know if it was their manipulation, but it could only be disastrous if I saw them.
I started to walk down the long hallway. All the doors seemed dirty. For the lack of a better word. My room,302, was clean. It was like it was sacred. That didn't matter. All that mattered was getting out of here. Getting out, before something came to find me.
I had tried all the doors. Every last one of them was locked. I looked at Eileen's door. That one was also locked, but for a second I thought I saw someone. Shaking my head I continued on towards the stairs. When I opened the door I saw a man. He was sitting on the stairs; looking like he was thinking. He must have heard the door creak; he turned towards me. He gave me a calm smile. His face didn't look happy. He looked calm. Nothing could break that state. Strange.
"Hello." I gave him a small hesitant smile and sat a few feet away from him.
He didn't seem like a psychopath. For my sake, I hope he wasn't one.
The man was holding a doll. An old raggedy one. Why would he have a doll on him. His green eyes stared into mine. The man most have saw me staring. I turned my head away; blood rushed to my face. How embarrassing. He started to laugh quietly.
"A long time ago, Miss Galvin gave me this doll. She was so young. So full of innocence." He knew Eileen?
"O-oh. Sorry for staring" Again the introvert in me acted up.
Both of us sat there for a while. He was probably thinking about Eileen and I was thinking about him. He was a strange man. So calm. He seemed like he was in control of any situation.
"Did you kill all those monsters?" I felt the silence suffocating me.
I had finally met someone. He seemed to be able to take care of himself, too. How did I know this? There was steel pipe by his side.
"Yes, I did. May I ask a favor, Henry?" Wait. What?
"W-what?"
"Please give this to Miss Eileen." He grabbed my hand and put the doll in it.
He got up and proceeded to leave me alone.
"Wait! How did you know my name?" The blonde turned his head to stare at me and smiled.
That damn smile. It confused me. In ways I couldn't comprehend.
"Oh? Did I call you that? Just a slip of the tongue. I did guess right though? How nice. I'm Walter. Walter Sullivan."
That's all he said. And he walked away from me. Walter. Walter Sullivan gave me a doll and walked off. I had a feeling that we would be meeting each other.
"Soon, Henry. Soon we shall meet again." Those words couldn't be more true.
PK: Okay. I'm going to start The 100 theme challenge. I'm going to hope I can get the 50 done. That alone would be a mircle. When I saw the theme for 1 I thought this scene would be perfect. I hope I got the characters right and everything. I had a lot of fun doing this short one-shot. Please Review!
