The book reminded her of him, it ate her up inside. He was gone and yet he was somehow still there. He had always been dying to leave, she just didn't know how much. Now he's long gone.
He always wanted to be out and flirting, but she had hindered him and now she was the one that was broken. He took everything with him, even the loose change that jangled in his pockets when he walked. She smiles at the memory of his cloak flapping behind him as he rode away on his bike. They had always seemed so happy.
She had always been called a diamond in the rough, the only sweet Black, but she was sick of it. If she hadn't been so sweet, then maybe he would have stayed. Her backbone was paper thin and she knew it, she needed to get out or she would cave completely in.
If they had every had bombs go off in their love, the sun was always shining, letting them know that it was all right. She always heard it said that everything has a silver lining, but what if she was sick of the lining? She wanted things to be real and painful. But she was always to sweet to let onto that desire.
Every time she thought of him, it felt like she was swallowing a glass of gravel. She couldn't take the pain any longer.
She tries to soak up the sound of crying, but she can't, everything is too loud for her to listen to it. She only gets ten minutes of tears and then everything is over for her. She can't foresee herself every anything less than the one that always seemed happy, the one that went along with everything. He showed her that. The cold of his heart settled in and finally made her stronger.
