A/N: Here's a fluffy one-shot for which I recently had some inspiration. Enjoy! WARNING: NON-KRISTELSA SHIPPERS, STAY AWAY!
The Greatness of Life
Kristoff hadn't had any idea that life could be so great. After all, he had never known his parents and had to fend for himself all his life. Of course, he'd had Sven for a very long time, but he never expected this to happen. Until he'd met her.
She was the most beautiful girl on whom he had ever laid his eyes. She was very regal, poised, and, well . . . just, overall fantastic. She could sing like nobody's business, too. Her name was Elsa.
See, after the Eternal Winter roughly two years ago, he knew something was off with this . . . this stunning mystery. She was very closed off, but he never knew why. He'd always wanted to find the reason, but she was so open with her sister, Anna.
Heh . . . Anna. The abundantly adorable ball of red-headed energy. She had quite the affinity for finding anything and everything to be either beautiful, adorable, or awesome. She'd even thought that, while she was dying of a frozen heart, her sister's powers were truly amazing. She knew that she'd never be in any true danger, not really. Of course, he'd lost some affection for her while trying to explain to her that there was someone else in whom he was interested. Her reaction was . . . unfavorable.
"Kristoff!" Elsa said, shocking him back to reality.
"Oh, Elsa . . . I'm sorry. I didn't hear a word you said."
She smiled and let out a light giggle. What a dodo, she thought. She absolutely loved his quirkiness. "It's okay; at least you didn't try and cover it up by lying and saying you did her me."
"Yeah . . . I was just thinking. Thinking about life."
"Kristoff, what's wrong?" She knew his tone. She knew she was going to receive a speech with which she'd be given a whole new perspective on life. Damn, he was good at that . . . and boy, was it a turn-on.
"Nothing is wrong. Absolutely nothing. Everything is so great. It has been ever since I met you."
She felt herself blush. "Kristoff, I -"
He cut her off by saying, "I never knew life could be so inadvertently perfect. I never knew that, one day, I would wake up and find myself lying next to this incredible, amazing girl, while being able to call her mine. But I did find all that."
She froze. He'd never said any of this before. Her blush deepened.
"And it made me so happy and grateful. Growing up with Sven was great and all, but meeting you, Elsa, has made me realize how much I've missed. How much wouldn't have happened had I decided to stop helping your sister when . . . you know . . . you didn't know how to control your powers."
"Kristoff, I . . . I have to say something too."
They were both red in the face.
Could she be ready to say . . . the thing?
What happened next was quite magical. They both spoke at the exact same time.
"Kristoff, I love you."
"Elsa, I love you."
They both blinked and had faces that looked like beets.
"Wait . . . wha -"
"I've been afraid to say it . . . I was afraid you'd run, or . . . go profess your undying love for Sven or something."
"Elsa, why would I do that? You know that I wouldn't."
She felt a little silly. Her fears never seemed to make sense. She was afraid of hurting people all her life, and what did she do not to hurt them? She hurt them. She'd shut Anna out for all of 15 years, for Christ's sake! And it had hurt Anna. "I know, but . . . with my powers and all -"
"Elsa, your powers are absolutely beautiful. Like you."
They sat on the loveseat in the castle's library, cuddling. "By the way, Elsa, I think you need to let it go."
She blushed like crazy. "You heard me?!"
"Relax, sweetheart. You sounded like an angel. Strike that, you are an angel. My angel."
They kissed. Anna walked in to find the pair, quite abundantly, lost in each other.
P.S.: Short and sweet, right? Hope you liked it!
