Thanksgiving Introduction
Chloe Calls and Mikey were in the kitchen preparing Thanksgiving dinner. Their friend Mika Murakawa was coming over and she had a special surprise for everyone.
"What surprise do you think Mika has?" Mikey wondered.
"We'll find out when she comes," Chloe replied with a smile.
"She didn't give you a hint?"
"Not a single one."
"Did you tell Mika that you're engaged to Roger?"
"Not yet but I'll do that tonight."
Roger Stapleman was Chloe's fiancé. He proposed to her on her previous birthday, which was her 20th, which was the same day she got promoted to assistant manager at the computer store she worked at.
"Let's hope Mika likes our Thanksgiving cooking," Mikey said.
"Hopefully, she will," Chloe said.
Raph and Leo were in the living room watching the football game. Just then, Donny and Roger entered the room.
"How's the game going?" Roger asked.
"Pretty good," Raph replied.
"Just to remind you, Mika is coming over tonight and bringing a surprise," Donny said.
"Looking forward to seeing what it is," Leo said.
"Did Mika give any hints?" Roger asked.
"She didn't," Donny replied and then he and Roger sat down to watch the game.
Later, the doorbell rang and Chloe went to answer it. She let Mika in and the two of them wrapped their arms around each other and then pulled away a few moments later.
"Where is your surprise?" Chloe inquired.
"I have to get it and I will meet everyone in the living room," Mika replied.
"Good idea since everyone else is there."
"Be right back."
Mika hurried out of the house while Chloe headed for the living room. A few moments later, Mika returned with a handsome Japanese man.
"Hi, my name is Kiroshi Nishiwa but you may call me Ki," the man said as he shook hands with everyone as they introduced themselves.
"Ki and I met at the Japanese market a few months ago and we started dating on Halloween," Mika explained.
"By the way, I asked Chloe to marry me on her birthday," Roger said.
"I told Roger yes," Chloe said, holding up her left hand which had a solitaire amethyst ring on her ring finger. Then she and Mika threw their arms around each other while Roger and Ki shook hands. Chloe and Mika released each other a few moments later.
Thanksgiving dinner took place in the dining room. There was apple cider, sparkling grape juice, black olives, rolls, succotash, gravy, sweet potato casserole, stuffing, and turkey.
"Who made the dinner?" Ki asked.
"Mikey and I did," Chloe admitted.
"Both of you did a good job," Mika said and Ki nodded in agreement.
"Glad you like the food," Mikey said with a grin.
"I like that we're all together," Leo said.
"I feel like our family is extending," Raph said.
"I'm grateful that Mika found someone special that could accept us for who we are and not what we look like," Donny said with a smile.
The turtles, Chloe, Roger, Ki, and Mika continued to chat while eating. They ate pumpkin pie later and eventually Roger, Mika, and Ki had to head back to their homes.
