"As we drive around and around and around trying to escape-this town," Freya sang lightly under her breath. She had been running around the island all day putting up the posters for her new project. She was putting up the last one now, right outside the mall.
"I don't think you realize this but you've been stapling that poster on the same spot for a couple of minutes over and over."
Freya yelped and spun around, hitting the person in the face with the stapler. That person was Hudson.
"Nice aim," he said from the ground, groaning slightly.
"Aren't you supposed to either pretend I don't exist or insulting me when the press isn't looking because I'm friends with Hayley?" she asked, recomposing herself from being startled by folding her arms, raising an eyebrow and fixing her long, straight blonde hair a bit. Yep, Freya may be a very gothic and alternative person, but she had yellowy blonde hair.
"Nooooooooooo," he dragged out his answer, "I reserve the insults for Hayley."
"Well?"
"Well what?"
"Well why did I have to hit you with my lucky stapler?"
"You have a lucky stapler?"
"Answer the question superstar."
"Well," he started, "I notice you've been posting all these posters for your musicals up."
"And?"
"And I want a part."
"So come to the auditions."
"There's an audition?"
"Yep," she pointed to an obviously there and easy to read block of text on the poster, "A week and a half from now; Friday, at the Arts and Culture Centre. It's an introduction to what the play is, auditions and the info on the next meeting. And then I'll be posting the cast list outside the centre. It says everything, and some other stuff, right there Hudson."
"Well, I feel stupid."
"Hayley will be happy to hear that," Freya smiled.
"And Freya?"
"What?"
"Will you let the fact that I'm, you know, Hayley's arch-rival and former fake fiancé get in the way of the casting?"
"I don't have a grudge against you; Hayley does," she answered, "You seem, nice-ish?"
"Thanks," Hudson's celeberty-ness was starting to return, "See you there, babe."
"CALL ME THAT AGAIN AND YOU DIE, HUDSON! I DON'T CARE HOW FAMOUS YOU ARE!"
