The vast emptiness of space, it's hard to notice sometimes with the lights of the space stations so close and comforting. The great cities in space are numerous and expansive, but outside those light a great swelling of darkness expands in all directions. For a human mind to be lost in that depth, what goes through that man's mind as hope, fear, dreams dissipate into nothingness. Blackness, eternal blackness, and with no hope, boredom became king.

"This sucks," came the bored voice of the man in that particular. All around him lay the vast emptiness of space. His white space suit was obvious in space, but at the moment it did him no good. "Come on!"

-Csssh-

-This is the Atari Star, come in-

"Atari Star? Who the hell… never mind, I am in need of assistance, my oxygen in running low, can you guys pick me up?"

-Roger that, prepare for pickup-

Finally, looks like someone is looking out for me, Kale thought to himself as he saw the dull gray paint of the spaceship neared. He couldn't tell what kind of ship it was from where he was. It was strange, the first friendly face he had seen in over eleven hours, yet he was still paranoid. It was probably space that was doing it to him, seeing anything seemed strange at this point. Ever since his ship was destroyed, nothing seemed real anymore. The very idea that he was going to slowly suffocate had yet to find its way into his thoughts.

As the ship neared, he could see a figure floating outside. Their suit was a deep blue, making it hard to tell at first with just his eyes. The figure drew closer, and he reached for his arms. The feeling of the person's grip was comforting, and as he wrapped his arms around him and felt the tug of the safety line, they were both drawn in towards the hatch. When they reached the ship's hatch, the hiss of vented air came as a calm reminder that he was safe again. It dawned on him again as the hatch closed behind him.

"Hatch is secure, you can remove your helmets if you want," came the voice of the man who had contacted him.

"Roger that," he replied over his headset as he removed his helmet. He quickly slipped off his suit next, thanking heaven that he was finally rid of it. "Did I miss the taste of recycled air or what!" he exclaimed. However, the man in the suit didn't respond, only pointed towards the door. "Alright, thanks, catch ya inside!"

He exited the depressurization chamber and stepped into what appeared to be a resting area. Three couches, a video screen, a small bar equipped the room, making it seem really comfortable.
