A little drabble (Yeah, so I slacked off, so what?) for the last Zutara theme: seasons. I went quite literal with this one :3.

Summer and winter.

Defined by each other—one can't exist without the other.

They meet once, twice a year at the equinox when the sun and the moon share the day.

But they'll never really be able to see each other; they're on the opposite sides of the year—something is always between them, and no matter how far their fingers attempt to reach, the other slips away in the tears of melted snow or the cry of falling leaves.

So they touch only briefly, though it's always sure to happen:

Like the way a lonely soul finds its other half even when fate doesn't seem to work their way.

(serendipity)

Like how unresolved words that build up within eventually spit out into air.

(momentous)

Like the manner in which the rain that lands on the ground can find its way back up into the clouds.

(transcend)

Like the way the complications of the past always seem easier to handle in the future.

(whimsical)

Like how someone with the will to live is never without a pulse.

(heartstrings)

Like the way love never really ends—and only creates legacies.

(faded)

It reminds you of the tag game the sun and moon play in the heavens.

You're not sure which it is: the sun following the moon, or the moon chasing the sun, but every so often they collide, and all eyes underneath the heavens watch.

Blergh, word vomit. Hopefully I knitted the words well together :)

(I'll only know if I hear it from you *coughreviewpleasecough*)
