I ought to be doing something. Anything. I can't be just sitting here. I could be the last one left, and all I'm doing is sitting here.

Shepard contemplated with the gun in her hand. An old fashioned one from the 1960's that she won in a bet. An Ingram MAC 10 with a 9mm caliber.

Used by special forces units in various parts of the world, she quoted from the authentication sheet that also came with it. She cleaned it up as best as she could when she received the package a couple weeks ago and retro-fitted it for her needs.

She loved how she could feel the metal and the weight it gave in her hands. It was completely different from her beloved HMWA assault rifle. This one felt durable. But she knew that the technology today made it easier to carry four or five weapons instead of just one or two. But she always was an old-fashioned person. And now, now it was time to set this gun to good use.

Wait, are those footsteps?

clink…clink…clink….

Yep. That was definitely footsteps.

Penny held her breath, not wanting to get caught. It could mean the end, and she wasn't going to give up that easily dammit! She was a marine! She forced herself to calm down, and realized that, whoever it was, passed by where her hiding position is.

Okay Pen, on five, you're going to use the NRA approach. One…Two…Three…Four…Five!

She threw a piece of metal across the room, attracting her enemies' attention to the far side, then she silently rolled across the floor and set her aim on the chest of one of the tangos.

"You heard that right? It wasn't just me, and dammit she's the last one! We can't let her win!"

Shit. I am the last one. Why does it always come to this? My team is just slacking off now, she thought wryly.

"Shepard! You might as well come out, we know you're there, and we have you surrounded. Besides, we already knew in the beginning that your ass was mine," a male said, Shepard could hear the grin in his voice.

Not today, and not ever.

She realigned her target, and paused, then yelled, "BOOM! SHAKALAKA!"

One, two, and three targets were hit within a matter of seconds. Shepard comes out victoriously.

"I always win boys! You ought to know that! I survived Sovereign! NO one can take me downtown! And ya'll owe me drinks when we land!"

Garrus, Wrex, and Kaidan come out from the shadows and look defeated while Shepard does a little victory dance. The boys had this whole plan too. The ground team would walk around, trying to get Shepard to move into another position and expose herself as Garrus would snipe her out from the high-tops.

"I fell for the NRA trick. AGAIN. I can't believe I didn't recognize it." Garrus lets out a groan and throws the model of his Mantis down on the ground. "I quit. I'm done. I call being on her team next time."

He walks out and heads to the elevator while giving her a "if-looks-could-kill" glance and the doors shut between them.

She grins. "Noise, Roll, and Action. It never fails."

Kaidan just looks at her, as she still doing this weird arm-shaking victory dance, and blinks. He shakes his head softly and says dejectedly, "That's it Shepard. No more. It always ends up like this. We're all done."

"What? I thought you all loved lazer tag though…"
