Stupid questions, stupid ink blots, stupid doctor, stupid fate, stupid questionnaire, stupid, goddamn, shit, fuck, why am I here…

He's been studying her for a couple of minutes, taking note of her muttering and grumbling.

Shepard been stuck in this office. With him. Him. Out of all the doctors on the Earth it had to be him, and he won't let her go. She wants to feel free and fly like a bird. But no. There is always one more test. One more question.

And now for the past five minutes, note taking. NOTE TAKING. Out of all the goddamn things he could be doing. He's taking fucking notes.

He's sighs and knows why she won't open up to him. It's been this way for the past ten years. She says she's gotten over it, but she still treats him coldly and ignores his emails, not like when they first met. It seemed so long ago now.

"Alright Commander, I just need a few more questions, then I think we are good to go."

She huffs impatiently, itching to get out since Vega promised her to a good game of poker when she returned to her cell.

"Okay, can you tell me how you're feeling? If you feel compromised or hurt emotionally in anyway?"

Penelope glares at him, and points a finger in his direction, making him slightly flinch.

"I don't need to answer your questions. I'm done. I've answered the basic psychology questions. looked at ink blots, filled out the questionnaire, these questions are optional. And I refuse to answer them."

"Please, Shepard…"

"No. You don't get to call me Shepard. You abandoned me, you left me for those other guys to take me out back and have their way. You were my first real friend and you betrayed me. Now I have real friends. Best friends that would die for me. They helped me through this and they won't betray me. My mind is perfectly fine. So with all do respect, Captain Duke, I'll be leaving."

She stood, saluted, and stepped her way out of the office purposefully.

He watched her go on, with worry and guilt in his heart that has existed for the past ten years. She never looked back.
