It's Legal

Kurt cuddled up closer to Blaine, burrowing his head in his boyfriend's neck. The light from the television danced across the walls and their faces, but neither made a move to look away. Because gay marriage had just been legalized in New York, and the country was literally celebrating.

Kurt almost began to fully cry as he saw the Empire State building light up in a spectrum of colors, symbolizing pride and acceptance. All of a sudden, he had never felt so accepted in his life.

"Blaine?" He asked, so quiet he was almost shocked that said person had even heard him.

"Yeah?" Blaine asked and pressed a kiss to the top of Kurt's hair, just enough to send butterflies racing in his stomach.

"Would you want to do that? Get married?" Kurt inquired and he felt Blaine tense for a moment. He waited in worry.

"Of course I would." He said, a little too late for Kurt Hummel's liking. But suddenly he realized the meaning of his boyfriends words, and tears began to prick at his eyes.

They quickly became too much to handle, and he sat up to wipe them nonchalantly out of his eyes. Or….what he thought was nonchalant, at least.

"Are you crying?" Blaine asked, going from surprised to over protective in about one second. Kurt shook his head with a blush.

"….No…."

"Oh you are, Kurt." Blaine said in a soothing voice, and pulled him into a hug, as Kurt saw water form in his eyes as well. Kurt lost himself in the warmth of the contact, feeling happier than he had in a long, long time.

"I'm sorry. It just kind of got to me." Kurt muttered as he pulled back, but Blaine smiled.

"You don't ever need to apologise for being who I fell in love with." Blaine said in a soft voice, and wiped the tears Kurt had missed with his thumb.

Kay... this was weird and random. Review if you wish; I appreciate it 3
