(Introduction)
A quiet sobbing filled the house, as cold salty tears ran down my face, gathering at my chin and then falling onto my nightdress.My eyes were blood shot and my skin was red raw with irritation from constant rubbing.
A cold rush of wind burst its way through the opened window and swept through my room, blowing the candle by my bedside table into merely a dim flickering flame.
Shivering, I slipped out of bed and went over to the open window. The stars were shining in the clear nights sky as I breathed in the crisp frosty air. I closed the window, fastening it at the top. As I stretched out I yawned, then fell into a deep long sleep.
