This is just a one-shot story I'd written for the Kingdom Keepers Insider FanFiction contests. I love that book series, and when I saw that the category was a crossover with a Disney Channel Series\Movie, I just had to write one with Girl Meets World! Hope you enjoy!
SCENE: NYC, NEW YORK
Finn and his friends were waiting for the subway, taking advantage of the break they had from press ops and interviews they had, to explore the city.
"Ohmygosh Maya, look! There are those Disney ghosts!" Ghosts!? Nobody's said that they were ghosts before.
Finn looked to see who had said that, and saw a pretty dark haired girl, a blonde girl, "Maya" to her left, a tall guy Charlene would say was good looking, and a kid in a turtleneck and long bangs.
"No honey, they're not ghosts they're Disney hosts" the girl called Maya explained.
"Actually, they're DHI's which stands for Disney Hosts Interactive, which stands for Daylight Hologram Imag-" turtleneck kid took one look at the brunettes confused face. "Or Disney ghosts, you could call them that"
"Hey!" Finn called, motioning his friends to follow them to the group, "You guys know who we are?"
"Yea, we do. I'm Maya, this here is my best friend Riley" she said, pointing her thumb to each person in turn. "our friend Farkle, and Ranger Rick" Maya introduced with a smirk.
"Lucas, my name's Lucas" 'Ranger Rick' corrected quickly. "Maya knows that."
"Hi Ghosties, I love reading about you guys! And you're all over the internet!" Riley exclaimed
"Haha, actually, your friend, (Farkle?) was right. We're NOT ghosts, we're holograms. And that's only when we're being projected. Right now, we're just as human as you guys!
"HA!" Maya snorted, "Maybe for us, but Farkle here might be a robot "
Finn didn't quite understood what she meant by that, but decided it's probably just an inside joke between them because Farkle was so smart
"So you're all here in the Big Apple huh? How're y'all liking it?" Lucas asked politely with a Texan accent.
The rest of the group spoke up for the first time since introductions were made. "I think its fabulous here! The lights, the buildings, the SMELLS! I love it!" Willa gushed, a huge grin on her face. "Charlene and I are hoping to get some shopping done while we're here!"
"You should try this cool shop called 'Demolition'. They have some really cute clothes there. I once got a whole new wardrobe from there!" Maya recommended.
"Ooh! We'll totally look that one up" Charlene promised, already googling it on her iPhone
"Look, here comes the subway. It was awesome meeting you guys!" Lucas said
"Could you all please take a selfish with me!?" Asked Riley timidly
"Sure! We'd love to!" Answered Maybeck, always eager to please the ladies when they wanted a picture or an autograph.
The two groups merged to take the pictures on Riley's phone.
"Well, that was certainly cool!" Finn heard Riley exclaim as they parted ways when the subway arrived.
Each group going in different directions to get to their own destinations in "The Center of the Universe".
