Just a really short little drabble. I haven't written anything in a while so I thought I'd give this a shot.
Sorry for any mistakes. I wrote this on my iPhone and it's very easy to press the wrong letter on the keyboard on it.
They're like a Polaroid picture. In the beginning, an undistinguishable blur. Shapes and colours that no one can make sense of.
The fought like cats and dogs. There was rarely a time not spent on snide remarks and stupid games when they were together... or when a phone was nearby. Ask either of them why they acted this way and if they were being honest they would tell you they didn't know... because they're Derek and Casey, since when did they ever make sense. But this is Derek and Casey, they would never answer that question honestly. Their friends have heard all of the excuses time and time again, "she's an annoying keener" "he's a selfish jerk!"
They're like a Polaroid picture, timeless. No matter what how long they've been around, they always look fascinating. Derek and Casey, they never get tired of each other (no matter how much they deny it).
After some time the picture becomes clearer. Things begin to change, change in a good way. The fights still exist but they're fought with hidden smiles. If they were being honest when you asked for the reason behind it at this point they'd answer "for familiarity." This is Derek and Casey though, do you really expect the truth?
They're like a polaroid picture. After a while the full picture becomes apparent. The colour is never perfect, never 'right' but that's what makes it all the more special and unique.
They're like a Polaroid picture... it has to be shaken up before you can see what is right in front of you.
The inspiration for this comes from the fact that I've always wanted a polaroid camera but I never got one. I was messing with a polaroid app yesterday and I just got to writing.
