Six's POV
She's changed since Eight died. She's not the gentle, kind, welcoming girl I met in Spain. Whatever it was that made her that way is gone. Dead. Frozen over.
What she did to Five scared me. Well, it's more so that it was her who did it. The one who welcomed him, tried to help him fit in. When he killed Eight, he also killed a part of Marina that can never be brought back.
She still sleeps, talks, everything she should. If you hadn't known her before you mightn't realise that she has changed. But I do. She hasn't smiled or laughed once since he died. And as worrying as that is, the worst thing is she hasn't cried. She hasn't shed a single tear.
The ice of her new legacy encased her heart. She pushed down the rage that filled her when she attacked five. But it's still there, eating away at her. And someday it will come back.
The way she looked at him and he at her when they first met made me wonder. But now I know. Eight found his Loric love. And Marina found hers. Right before hewas torn away from her. And i dont think she can ever be whole again.
