It took her ten minutes to remember her life as Red.

Half of those minutes had been devoted to her seeing how many lives she had taken as Red. Five minutes devoted to the sole cause of murder.

And the thought made her sick. She moved around her grandmother and leaned over into the bushes and threw up.

And now all her other senses were returning to their abnormal levels. Increased smell and hearing, sharper sight. And then the taste. There's the taste of blood in her mouth, like a steak, bloody and raw.

I wish the curse had never been broken.

She's honest. As short sighted as it is, it's the truth.

She was better off as Ruby. Far better off. She may have hated her life then, but compared to now, she would trade anything away for a shitty waitressing job. Just to forget how much fear she caused, how many lives she's taken, even if an accident.

A tear rolled off her cheek as she pulled herself upright when she heard her grandmother's voice ask her if she was alright. "I'm fine." Was all she replied and pulled her grandmother into a hug.

"Don't lie to me girl." Her grandmother whispered.

The two lead themselves back inside the dinner where they waited with small conversation until Snow, followed by James, entered and wrapped Red in a large hug.

And Red stood there listening as Snow rambled on about how happy she was now that the curse was broken.

And she stood there, smiling and nodding in agreeance. And swore too.

A/N No idea where this one came from, but it begged to be written. So alas it was written. I really hope she they address this next season now that Red/Ruby has been bumped up to a bigger role.
