1.
Hermione never felt worried as Cedric and Harry had arrived back from the graveyard. Never felt fear and panic shoot through her at the sight of the unconscious almost lifeless body of Cedric Diggory. She never was the first one to rush towards the tall boy and never cried in joy as she saw that he was breathing and alive.
2.
Cedric never woke up in the hospital wing. Never woke to see the face of a curly-haired witch after almost being killed by a psychotic wizard. He never felt his mouth go dry at the relieved smile on her face, never smiled back and took her small hand in his.
3.
Hermione never blushed when she saw him, never felt electric tingles dance across her skin at his smile and that gleam in his eyes. Never gasped in surprise when he pulled her into an empty classroom, never felt a searing heat spread through her when his lips met hers. She never kissed him back for all she was worth.
4.
Cedric never woke to find a soft, female body in his arms. Never smiled in contentment as he brushed the curly locks out of her face, never kissed her forehead, never pulled her closer and went back to sleep. He never heard her murmur his name in her sleep.
5.
Hermione never fell in love. Never felt so much happiness and joy as she walked down the aisle three years later. Never exchanged 'I do's' and rings, never kissed her new husband passionately. Never threw the bouquet at Luna, never laughed at a blushing Harry who caught the garter and never watched amusedly as Harry clumsily tried to put it on Luna. She never smiled as Cedric discreetly took her hand leading her to one of the empty rooms of the hotel.

"Kill the spare."
Cedric realized as he saw the bright green light come towards him that there were a lot of things they would never get the chance to do.
