Another request by tate310, this time it's "Make Someone Happy" from Season 5. Enjoy and comment.

It was holiday time on the Island of Sodor. All the engines were working happily, except for James.

"Why should a splendid engine like me take messy coal cars instead of coaches? Percy or Oliver should do it, not me!"

Thomas was cross.

"James, why don't you think of somebody else instead of yourself for a change! You'll feel much better if you do!"

"Oh please!" snorted James. "Besides passengers, being important is the only thing to think about!"

Then, he puffed away in a cloud of steam.

A bio-plane was flying up ahead, carrying a large banner that read.

VISIT HARRY TOPPERS FAIR

AT TIDMOUTH BAY

That bio-plane is making a great deal of noise about something!" Percy said to Oliver.

"His name is Tiger Moth and he's flying around telling everyone about the fair that's arriving today."

Just then, Thomas arrived.

"What are you two doing here?" he asked.

"Sir Topham Hatt asked us earlier to collect a very special load from the docks."

"And I think it has something to do with the fair." added Percy as they puffed away.

Meanwhile, James was collecting quarry cars from the yard.

"Dustier and dustier!" he grumbled.

Then, he saw Mrs Kyndley.

"She looks miserable!"

"What's the matter?" asked James's driver.

"My sister has flown out of town and can't stay with me! I was so looking forward to her visit!"

Sir Topham Hatt soon heard the sad news.

"We must cheer her up! Send Harold the Helicopter to pick her up immediately!"

A few minutes later, there was a surprise for Mrs Kyndley.

"Come aboard Mrs Kyndley!" said Harold. "Fly the sky with me, compliments of Sir Topham Hatt!"

"How lovely!" said Mrs Kyndley!"

"Harold has made me dirtier than ever!" muttered James. But he felt happy for Mrs Kyndley.

"I have never seen Sodor from above before!" said Mrs Kyndley. "It's wonderful!"

Meanwhile, Percy and Oliver were at the docks. Cranky the Crane was unloading an old-tramp steamer.

"All these are for you!" called Cranky.

"Wooden horses!" exclaimed Percy. "For the carousel ride! It's going to be a very exciting fair."

"It is indeed!" whistled James. "Sir Topham Hatt has ordered me to stop pulling freight cars and go to the station instead! It's something to do with Mrs Kyndley."

Mrs Kyndley was waiting at the station with Sir Topham Hatt when James arrived.

"This is a very special treat." said Sir Topham Hatt. "James will take you on a mystery ride, and I shall meet you at your destination."

James took Mrs Kyndley to Tidmouth Bay. When he arrived there, a big surprise was waiting for her. All the engines were there, along with tons of cheering people.

"What a wonderful surprise! You took me to the fair!"

Sir Topham Hatt let her declare the fair offically open, and even let her ride the carousel first!

"You were quite right Thomas!" whispered James. "Making someone happy and being a really useful engine really does cheer you up!"

Then together, they watched the fun of the fair!
