Dependent
To Nate, Jason was the most amazing human being on the planet, and elsewhere in the universe. He was the single most important person in Nate's life. Basically, without Jason, Nate was nothing. Nada.
Nate just depended on Jason. Of course, he could survive without him. He could breathe, feed himself, write music and just… live. But it wouldn't mean anything without Jason there with him.
Jason was the reason Nate wakes up in the morning (not that he ever really wants to, but Jason makes it a little better) and the reason he sleeps well at night. Nate could have the worst of nightmares and it'd all be okay because Jason was right next to him.
Everything was okay if Jason was around. Jason could just make anything okay. Nate really, truly believed Jason could (and would) make everything better. It didn't matter what it was; Jason would make it okay, better, make it all work again. Nate really, truly believed that.
In other words, Nate loved Jason. Nate wouldn't be the same without Jason. Actually, Nate didn't think he would be Nate without Jason. But that was okay, because Nate didn't care. He was fine with depending on Jason. Really, he didn't care, because it meant Jason wasn't going to leave him anytime soon.
Nate didn't care he was completely dependent on Jason. He didn't care that he would pretty much die without Jason, if Jason ever left him, because he knew, he just knew that Jason would never, ever, in a million years leave him or hurt him or do anything harmful to Nate. Unless, you know, Nate asked him to. But that's off-topic, and frankly, between Nate and Jason.
Nate moved closer to Jason, resting his head on the guitarist's chest. He wrapped his arms around Jason's waist, sighing contentedly. He didn't think it could get any better than this. He didn't want to move at all.
"You alright, angel?" Jason's voice came from above Nate, his chest vibrating with the sound.
Nate nodded, looking up to smile at him. "I was just thinking," he said quietly, because it was just a time to speak quietly.
"What were you thinking about?" Jason asked, pressing his lips to Nate's forehead gently, another one of those gestures that made Nate's heart swell with happiness and feel like it was going to burst.
"Just… you. Us," Nate answered, kissing Jason's cheek softly. "I love you."
"I love you, too," Jason whispered, stroking his lower back in slow, comforting circles.
"Good."

So, this was really OOC, and I realize it. I wrote it a month ago and it's been hiding in my notebook since then, but I figured maybe other people could read it and hopefully, enjoy it. It's my first slash ever, but I'm oddly proud of it.
