AN: A little short on how Vitani received the news of Kopa's death and her reaction.
Beginning of Revenge
A mother and two cubs, a dark brown, raggedy looking male, and a blond coated girl, are walking through the barren outlands. The mother seems quite distressed.
"Mom, why did Simba seem so mad at us?" A young female cub said.
"Because you two are Scar's children." The mother replied harshly.
"But he was never mad at us before."
"Well! I was supposed to be king, well, at least until your little boyfriend came along Tani." A male cub said to the girl.
"Shut it Nuka! At least you aren't leaving someone behind that you love!" Vitani shot back.
"Both of you, quiet! We will have our revenge on Simba soon enough!" Zira shouted to both of them.
"But we don't hurt Kopa right?" Vitani asked her mother.
"Right…" Zira's voice trailed off.
"Please don't hurt him! He is everything to me! I don-" While Vitani was pleading, Zira interrupted her saying sharply, "He's dead Vitani!"
"What?!" Vitani took several steps back, her eyes widened. She was speechless.
"Kopa is dead…" Nuka said, eyes watering. "I just wanted to be king, but I didn't want him dead." He looked over to his sister, who was obviously very distressed. "Vitani, are you all right?"
"How did he die?" Vitani looked up at her mother, tears streaming down her face.
"He was murdered, by Simba!" Zira said in a low growl.
"W-what! Why would he do that?!" Vitani said in shock.
"Because he could blame it on us and banish us from the Pridelands!"
"All because we are related to Scar?" Nuka asked.
"Precisely my child."
"Then he will die an unmerciful death!" Vitani shouted. "And my training starts now!"
