A/N: I had this sudden urge to write something with Tyki in it. So, this drabble came out of it. Hope you like it. [I don't own D.Gray-Man

The snow fell silently outside. Only the street lamps gave light and glistened off the snowflakes. Nothing moved.

No…that wasn't right. Something was moving.

There was a flash of violet and a man emerged from the alleyway. He ran his hand through his hair then covered it with his top hat.

"It was nice to meet you," he said, glancing back into the alley. There, in the corner of the shadows, someone lay crumpled in a pile.

It was nothing more than a passing fancy. Nothing more, nothing less. Tomorrow, someone would find the body of the girl. Dead with no visible, external injuries but something was missing.

"Pity," he murmured, thinking of how cute the girl was. But he just shook his head, laughing lightly.

He had killed her because she was there. If she hadn't decided to bake that pie for her dear mother, she would still be alive.

The man started to walk down the silent street, his footsteps muffled in the snow, the butterfly fluttering around him gracefully.

"Brother!" a girl's voice echoed and the man turned, smiling.

"I haven't seen you in a while," he said.

"That's why I came Tyki! And I couldn't let you have all the fun on your own, now could I?" asked the girl as she walked up to him. She noted the butterfly. "No far! You already got to kill someone!"

Tyki grinned and waved his hand back towards the alleyway.

Road walked back and around the corner then poked her head out. "She's really cute! I wish I was here ten minutes ago."

Tyki laughed lightly. He opened his palm and the butterfly landed on it. The gloved fingers closed around it and when he opened it once more, the purple creature was gone.

"So Road, would you like to come with me?" he asked the girl as she walked up to him again.

"'Course!" she said. "How'd that girl come to meeting you anyway?"

"She was going to get apples for her mother's pie," said Tyki as they started walking down the street past the street lamps.

Road cackles evilly. "You're so evil brother! You kill a girl getting apples!"

Tyki rolled his eyes but smiled.

"You would have done the same," he said.

"No, I wouldn't played with her first! You just killed her, that's no fun!" she said. The snow had slowed somewhat.

Tyki sighed. He didn't want to lose his other side…that's what made his life worth living even more than killing exorcists. But he felt that his other side was slipping slowly away, to be replaced by darkness. Road had already fallen completely.

She couldn't live a life like he could. Even though he had to follow what the Earl said, he enjoyed living like a human. But Road could never do such a thing.

He watched his sister skip along ahead, swinging the pink umbrella as he cried out shrilly in protest.

I can't let it fade away…he glanced up at the sky, only seeing snow, then followed his sister down the street. I can't be swallowed completely…like my sister.
