He kicked, rather lethargically, at the coconut that had recently fallen from the above tree. It rolled only a few inches and he watched it, staring on blankly.

Why does she seem so persistent on seeing me?He kicked the coconut again, at the same strength he had the first time. It's great to spend time with her but it's a bit hard to be with her all the time; it just makes me more uncomfortable and less guarded with my words.

Sighing beneath his breath, Sora gave the round object one more kick, this one harder and watched it roll away again. Blinking a few times, his mind wrapping in thought, he walked to where it had stopped. He placed his foot gently atop it and glanced around, his gaze lingering nowhere.

I-I can't be having anything for her 'cause I don't think Riku'd be to happy. I know he likes her, maybe he doesn't. I don't know. He placed his foot beside the hairy, brown, liquid filled coconut; his gaze had fixated back to it, a look of worry within his eyes. But, every time she asks if we can hang out together, without Riku, kinda makes it harder. I like her, I do, but I can't tell her. It'd probably scare her or something and then there would be no more Kairi.

But, what if she DID like him too? He was sure that Riku hadn't received a kiss on the cheek as a birthday present. Well, he'd like to BELIEVE that, and he would! There was no way Kairi saw something in Riku. Nope. Not at all… Surely not… He hoped…

Ugh. He didn't know what to do… On one hand, it would be simple to tell her that he liked her(and not the puppy dog kind) but, on the other hand, he didn't want to risk losing her and Riku's friendship.

With one swift, hard kick, and not feeling the slight pain in his toe, Sora glared onward as the coconut smashed into a wall and broke, shedding into three separate pieces. The gooey liquid inside seeped onto the sand, darkening its white color, and the brown haired boy shook his head

"Nah," he muttered, turning to find his gaze on the silhouetted form of a running girl. He couldn't help but smile at her, hearing her voice call his name. There's no way that thing means anything. Kairi, Riku, and I are too good of friends to break up or anything. I'm just letting things get to me, now.

Nothing more than a coincidence.
