Hello fans, this is just a simple one shot I thought of. I hope you all enjoy this story. I wanted to show what Leia may have done after she sensed Han's death and this is my take on that since it hasn't been shown very much or at all. This is my first fanfic for this series so I apologize for any mistakes about the character history or backstory. I still hope you all still enjoy this story though. Also this story takes place after The Force Awakens.

May the force be with you Carrie Fisher. You were one of a kind.

Leia sat alone in her room going through stuff that she kept all these years. Part of it was from Hans and part of it was from her children, she had felt a part of her die on the day Ben left and change into someone and into something she didn't recognize as her son anymore.

Her son had been a good kid growing up.

But then he had lost himself to the dark side, just like her father had done so many years before her birth. Leia began to cry again as she thought about the way her life had gone with Han's, with her children, with the people she worked for, with everything.

She sighed and set the box down next to her and stood up. She had a funeral to go to, but she had no body to bury only some personal effects that she handpicked to be buried.

She walked to the door to her room and left it and headed down the hall to the outside of the base, everyone was already there and waiting.

All were standing in a line and at the end of that line was a wooden box waiting to be buried, she wanted to cry but she stood strong and held back the tears. She couldn't and wouldn't cry in front of them, she was there leader she was supposed to be strong and be brave but it was difficult given the situation in front of her.

Why did he have to die so soon?

They could have worked things out with their relationship but now now it was too late to fix anything.

She looked at the box and began to cry, she tried to hold the tears back but nothing worked, the tears just kept falling

"Today we have gathered to remember a man who was a fighter and one our own. A man-"the voice began to grow dull and fuzzy the longer she listened to them speak.

She almost fell to her knees but two of the members of their group held her up to keep her from falling to the ground, she closed her eyes and just cried as they lowered the box into the ground. Her entire family was falling apart, her life was like a mirror that had cracks in it and those cracks were getting bigger over time.

She just wished that she could go back to when life was simple and she still had her family with her.

Her family was shattered.

Broken.

It was a mirror that was not just cracked it was ready to fall apart.

She stood back up straight with the help of those who were helping her stand and bent over and grabbed a handful of dirt and walked over to the grave

"Rest in peace. I loved you "She said as she said as she tossed the dirt into the grave. Everyone followed suit behind her each saying something different as they tossed dirt into the grave as well.

She stood by while they put dirt into the grave and buried the box, she looked up at the sky then closed her eyes

"May the force be with you Hans"

Hey all , I hope you all enjoyed this little one shot. Reviews are welcome. Thank you.
