A/N: So I got inspired while I was watching videos on YouTube of soldiers surprising their friends and families. It was 2 hours well spent.

Disclaimer: I own nothing. Except for Kyle. He's my creation haha.

Macy walked through the front doors of Horace Mantis Academy and rushed through the hallways to her locker. She had a volleyball game to get to and warm-up started in five minutes, but her brother, Kyle, had sent her a new picture of himself from Iraq. She wasn't about to wait to hang it up in her locker.

She got it taped up and shut her locker door quickly, only to be met by the face of her boyfriend of three months. "Kevin, you scared me! Don't do that!"

Kevin chuckled. "Sorry, Mace," he said, "Don't you have a game? Like, right now?"

"Well yeah," she answered, "But Kyle sent me a new picture today and I wanted to put it up. I was about to go to the gym when you decided to try and give me a heart attack."

Kevin smiled and held out his arm for her. "Well, then, the least I can do is escort you to the gymnasium, milady. Shall we?"

"We shall," Macy giggled, gladly accepting his arm.

The first match had ended, with HMA winning after a very well-placed spike by none other than team captain and senior Macy Misa. Music was blasting over the loud speakers as both teams prepared for the next match. Macy was leading the team in stretches when the music stopped abruptly and a voice came through loudly. Macy soon recognized it as Kevin's and was confused.

"Excuse me, everyone, could I have your attention please?" he spoke. Incredibly, none of the girls on the visiting team began chasing him, so he continued, "Macy Misa, I have something that I want to give you. I know it's not your birthday until next week, but this is one present that I don't think can wait. Bring it in, guys!"

Macy stood on the court, both confused and slightly embarrassed, as Joe, Nick, and Stella wheeled a gigantic box, wrapped in black and white striped wrapping paper, into the gymnasium. She looked from the box to Kevin, who had walked up to her, carrying a microphone connected to the sound system.

"Go ahead and open it, Mace," he smiled.

All eyes were on Macy as she slowly began to tear off the wrapping paper, revealing a cardboard box. With help from Stella, she removed the tape holding the top closed. As soon as she got two of the flaps up, a person popped up and got out of the box. Macy gasped and covered her mouth, tears welling up in her eyes. She couldn't believe it.

Before her, in his uniform, stood her big brother, Lance Corporal Kyle Misa.

"Surprise!" he and Kevin yelled at the same time.

The entire gymnasium erupted into cheers as Macy threw her arms around Kyle's neck and refused to let go. He gladly hugged her back just as tightly as she cried into his shoulder. Neither of them cared that there were hundreds of people watching them.

"I've got two whole weeks, Mace," he whispered in her ear.

Macy embraced him again with a huge smile on her face. She was getting two weeks with her brother and she couldn't be happier. She missed him so much.

Soon after, the second match started, and Macy gave it even more effort than usual, and Horace Mantis defeated the opposing team yet again. After the teams shook hands and were dismissed, Macy made her way over to where Kyle and Kevin were standing and took each of their hands.

"I'm starving!" she said dramatically, pulling them toward the exit. The two young men looked at each other and laughed as they allowed her to drag them with her.

Normally, Macy Misa hated surprises, but this one was just fine with her.

Kind of a weak ending in my opinion, but it is what it is. Thanks for reading; this was my first Jonas story.
