Emma sat on the couch and smiled as she watched Snow open Neal's presents and show him with a happy face trying to get him to smile. Her smile widened every time she saw Neal's big smile. Charming was filming the whole thing. She may have never had a special Christmas or got any presents growing up but she was happy Neal would get lots of happy and plentiful Christmases.
"Oh look Neal, it's a present from your big sister, Emma." Snow said then looked over at Emma. Emma looked away from the gaze of her mother and just shrugged.
"It's squirt's first Christmas, I had to get him something." Emma responded. Snow smiled while looking at Charming who was also smiling behind the camera. Snow unwrapped it and smiled. It was a mini Storybrooke but more like a bath book so Neal could chew on it which the three knew that's exactly what he would do the minute he got his hands on it. Snow looked at Emma. "It's just something I bought then made it child friendly with my magic." Snow reached over and rubbed her knee. Snow sighed and slapped her hands onto her lap.
"Okay and now Emma's turn." Charming said and turned the camera on her. Emma perked up.
"Huh? My turn for what?" Emma asked.
"To open presents. You didn't think all these were for Neal did you?"
"No, I mean I thought most of them were for him but I also thought some were for Henry."
"Oh some are." Snow replied. "The others are for you." Snow said grabbing a present addressed to Emma and handed it to her. Emma looked at it and then at the pile and could the feel the faint feeling of wanting to cry. "Emma?" Emma shook her head and opened her present. It was a clothing box and when she lifted the lid, she dropped it on the floor. Inside, somehow someway, was a beautiful ball gown complete with huge skirt and frills. She grabbed it and stood up to hold it to herself. The sleeves were lightest blue she'd ever seen and only covered a small section below her shoulder and soft, almost like feathers, swan feathers. The whole dress was a light blue and got darker as the skirt went down. On the bottom of the skirt, there was a swan sewn into it. She brought it up to her and could actually feel the tears coming. She waved her hand and the dress was on her. She went over to a full length mirror and looked at herself.
"Granny helped with the swan." Charming said. "Your mother and I are very incapable of doing something like that." Emma looked at him. "It looks beautiful on you. Our Swan Princess." Emma smiled and couldn't help but turn from side to side looking at herself. "You okay Emma?"
"Yeah, this is the first perfect present I ever got, well, besides Henry." Emma ran her hands over the dress. She smiled and waved her hand and was once again holding the dress in her hands. She draped it over a chair and sat down again. She slowly reached for another present. Snow was quicker and grabbed one before giving it to her. Emma opened it and many others receiving multiple wonderful gifts. She was smiling to whole time while Charming recorded it.
"The rest are for Henry." Snow said apologetically. Emma smiled.
"This is more than I could ever hope for. Growing up in the foster system, it was very rare to wake up Christmas morning and find presents for you. This is my first happy Christmas and I'm spending it with my parents, my baby brother, and my son will be here in an hour. The only thing that could make this better would be if Killian was here with us." There was a knock at the door and Snow and Charming shared a knowing look.
