I was suddenly inspired with this while watching s-cry-ed/inuyasha. (It was a special DVD I got for my 17th. .)
This poem can go to either of these two girls in the series, kagome or kanami, I think both qualify in this. Also the person narrating is male. (The color I'm using is called plum, I hate plums)
You shine with a brilliance rivaled only by the heavens themselves.
The stars above look at you in awe of your luminescence
Darkness runs in fear of the incandescentence you'll cast upon it.
People are drawn to your fire
No one dare turn out your radiance for fear of the darkness that would surely follow
No matter where you go I'll follow your bright glow, even to the ends of the earth.
To me, your light is like a rainbow, to be seen and not touched; like a comet, to be awed and marveled at, but never to be captured.
You're like a majestic mountain always reaching toward the sky
I wonder how you always see light in other but never in yourself
Your inner burning blaze will scorch those who try so hard to douse it
You sparkle like the ocean at night under the full moon
Your kind fervor makes many people become filled with hope and confidence
To put out your fire within some one must have truly blocked out the sun itself, for I know of no other way to diminish those rays of hope within you
Your light is your eternal soul filled with the glory of your hope and love
