Preface

Time flows slowly. It passes like a river and as a river, it never stops flowing. Over time wounds heal, bonds streathen or break, changes happen, and eventually we grow. Whether it is to grow old in age or blossom into adulthood, we cannot break the fact that life and death is everyday happening and forever shall, until the end of even time itself.

Prologue

A figure slowly peered from the shadow of a hood in the darkness night. There was a light dusting of snow on the ground and with a full moon out, the forest glowed a haunting white. The figure paused; another hooded figure came into the light. He took off his hood; it was Jiraiya.

"Did you bring it?" He asked his voice faltered.

The second figure paused removing her hood revealing Tsunade. She held a bundle, wrapped in thick blankets and took an end of a blanket showing a face of a sleeping baby.

"So," Jiraiya stated, "This is the daughter of Orochimaru." He cringed.

"Yes." Tsunade sighed. "It's terrible what he did and that poor woman! Finding that her unborn baby is…is…his." She shuttered slightly and stared at the child.

"Yes," Jiraiya agreed "At least she's in good hands now." He paused and got a closer look at the baby's head. There was a scribble of a kanji in blood; double heaven on the infant's forehead.

"Look at her, she so helpless. How can she be the portal?" She asked. It was a gruesome thing to be indeed.

What most people don't know is that in order to summon a demon, you need a human to be a portal and the portal that brought the Kiyubi to Konoha, was Tenten.

Chapter 1-Darkness

Konoha mornings were usually bright and sunny, but today they weren't. Huge dark clouds hung in the sky and to make matters worse, it was said that it would rain all day. The one thing running in Tenten's mind, she hated rain.

Not that she didn't like what it does, but when it rains it means she'll be inside until it stops. When she's inside she'll finishes everything she needs to do in a few short minutes and then she'll be bored for the rest of the day or when ever it stops raining. That was the part she hated; being cooped up. Sometimes she wondered if the gods in the sky punished her by letting it rain all day.

Sometimes Tenten felt envy crawl up when it rained. Her other teammates and teacher loved it when it did finally rain on the parched ground. Well, Lee and Gai did more than Neji. Even though it was raining, Lee and Gai would still run their normal exercises. They said it made it much harder to run in the pouring rain than blistering sun. Neji on the other hand would need to attend family meetings and usually meditate afterwards. Yes, she really did feel so useless, lying around on rainy day.

Luck though stumbled upon her. A few knocks on her door meant that it was time to go on, yet again, another mission. Before she could get up and answer it, a soaking Lee opened it with the spare key she gave him.

"Tenten! Urgent mission now!" Lee shouted into the door. Tenten was rather taken back but raced out the door with Lee. Rain pelted them during their race to the Hokage tower.
