Daichi: So, I think we can agree that this was long overdue. The first version of this… I was kinda attached to, being my first published thing ever, but given that it's probably turned away several

potential readers… it's really about time.

Verity: I've been literally telling you this for years now. Anyway, she doesn't own Digimon, and you-

Daichi: Remember what I said last time?

Verity: No insulting the readers, got it…

Shiuchon 'Suzie' Wong was many things. She was a Digimon Tamer. She was partnered to a former Deva. She had just turned eight the month before.

And she was bored out of her wits.

Henry and Terriermon had left to meet with their friends, and as Ai and Mako wouldn't be there, there wouldn't be anyone she could talk to about little kid stuff. Ryo seemed nice enough, and actively tried to be friends with her, but that wasn't the same. So it was just her and Lopmon in a room where the most interesting thing was a computer.

That day, however, her life was going to forever change. The computer had not been turned on a minute ago. Now it was.

"Lopmon, was that…?"

"No, I don't think so. What's that on the screen?" The screen was displaying nine words. Nine little words that would change everything.

Would you like to visit your favorite T.V. show?

She didn't think before she nodded. A bright flash came from the screen, pulling her and Lopmon inside. The last thing she was conscious of was something pulling her away from her partner as she fell, fell, fell…

In-Training. She was an In-Training again. She didn't know what she had been expecting, she'd known that, for almost as long as she'd been a Tamer, Suzie had been fascinated with the Digimon Adventure television show.

The biggest issue, of course, was that her partner was nowhere to be seen. There was a rustle in the bushes. She turned, prepared for a possible confrontation, but that never came. Instead, she was greeting by a gray thing with flippers carrying a blue device. A Digivice of this world.

"Um… hello. Can you tell me where I am?" Being polite would work, right?

"Oh, this? I'm not sure of the name. Motimon might know, but I haven't seen him in weeks. Oh, I'm Bukamon by the way. I'm here because I'm waiting for someone. My partner, Joe, to be exact. What about you?"

"I… I'm Chocomon. I guess that… I'm waiting for my partner, too."

"Really? Why don't you carry one of these?"

"She already has hers." Chocomon tried to smile, she really did, but knowing how long she could be waiting for, and not knowing if her partner would ever come, it was hard. "But she'll be here. I'm sure."

"Hm… well, if we're both waiting for our partners, then let's wait together! I can introduce you to the others, too, if we find them!"

"That… that'd be nice." Chocomon let Bukamon lead her off into the jungle, ready to begin their long wait.

"Welcome to Odaiba summer camp!" Suzie realized several things at that moment.

Firstly, unless she had misheard the man, this was a place far from home. Also, she had a duffel bag that had not been there before. Remembering what, exactly, had been displayed on the computer screen, she decided to just roll with it. Besides, she had never really been camping before.

The cabin assignments didn't seem to sort by age, or maybe it was because she was a last minute addition. She was in cabin three. There were two other names she recognized on that list, however. Sora Takenouchi and Mimi Tachikawa. She had liked the female characters more than any of the others, so this looked like it would be fun.

"Alwight, I can do this…" She reassured herself as the cabin came into sight. There were other girls she didn't recognize, but one of the ones she did noticed her just about immediately. Being smaller probably had something to do with that.

"I'd heard we were getting a little girl in our cabin. You are just adorable!" Mimi gushed. Suzie wondered if this was how Terriermon felt when she used to treat him like a doll.

"Hewwo. I'm Shiuchon Wong, but you can just call me Suzie," she greeted. She figured that was a good way to introduce herself.

"Suzie, huh? I have to introduce you to my best friend. Her name's Sora, and she's in this cabin, too!" Suzie allowed herself to be corralled off by the other girl. This wouldn't be so bad, not at all.

Suzie had begun to wonder when, exactly, everything would begin. She had been there for more than a day already, and nothing seemed to be happening. There was nothing in her bag but money, snack food, clothing, and cards. Her Digivice, of course, was on her at all times.

It wasn't like camp so far had been boring, however. She had seen the DigiDestined's eventual glorious leader arguing about something or other with Yamato Ishida, better known as Matt, so at least that was still a thing.

It was now lunchtime, and everyone was spreading out to sit with their friends. While Sora and Mimi had taken her under their wings, they had their own friends to sit with. She had told them she didn't really know anyone there, so they decided to bring her with them.

Said friends happened to have a number of bruises, so clearly their argument the previous day had escalated at some point.

Tai hadn't been all that happy by the idea of another kid being at their table, while Matt hadn't bothered to speak to her at all. Somehow, Suzie got the feeling that those two weren't who Sora and Mimi wanted her to meet.

The one that they must have actually wanted her to meet was there, of course, sitting next to his brother.

"I'm Takeru Takaishi, but you can just call me T.K.. Everyone does," the boy said with a smile.

Suzie felt that this would be the beginning of a beautiful friendship.

On the third day of camp, Suzie was sorting through her cards, making sure that everything was there. The card Ryo had given her was there, but likely wouldn't be used, having been phased out for similar options long ago. Attack cards, stat modifiers, and Digivolution, probably the most important card of all. Everything was there.

She came to the realization that it had gotten rather cold all of a sudden. Looking up, she saw the first flake of that fateful snowfall.

Daichi: Much better. I added in the scene with Chocomon and Bukamon, along with Suzie meeting T.K. for the first time, to fill it out a little more. Some other pieces were changed to make it fit into the later story a little better.

Tsukaimon: And next on the list?

Daichi: Possibly the actual new chapter, possibly something else, possibly rewriting the rest of Devimon, and one or two specific chapters of Etemon. I don't have a schedule, you know this.
