Jerome smiled at the faint sound of his girlfriend humming from the seat opposite him.

"Someone's happy today," He stated, making Joy giggle a little.

"I'm in one of those moods where you want to hug everyone," she told him. Jerome held out his arms to hug her, but she just glared.

"I'll hug you after i've finished my homework."

"But you just said you wanted to hug everyone?"

"Yes. I didn't say i was going to." Joy smirked.

The two had been on good terms lately - really good, in fact. After Mara told them it was fine for them to date, they'd been inseparable. They also didn't have to worry about her being jealous, thanks to Fabian.

Jerome marvelled at Joy's beauty for a few more seconds, before turning his attention back to his book.

"Jerome?" She whispered. He looked up and met her gaze.

"Mm?"

"How do I know you won't hurt me like you did Mara and Willow?" She sighed, her eyes falling a bit.

It hurt Jerome that she doubted his feelings, but he really couldn't blame her. He'd never forgive himself for what he done to them.

"I just know I won't. It's a bit weird though, isn't it?" He said.

"What's weird?" Joy asked, facing him again.

"You told them, they decided on your revenge plan... Almost as if it was meant to happen." He pointed out.

"So you're saying you're glad you cheated on Mara and Willow?" Joy raised her eyebrows. Jerome shook his head.

"No, no. Well, in a way. Of course i'll never forgive myself for hurting them both, but if i wouldn't of done it i would still be with Mara and you'd be chasing Fabian."

Eurgh, Fabian. Joy winced at his name.

"I haven't, um, spoke to Fabian in a while." Joy swallowed hard, remembering what her former crush had told her. It brought a lump to her throat and tears to build up in her brown eyes.

"Joy are you okay?" Jerome asked, his voice full of worry and concern. She shook her head and extended her arms, which Jerome accepted willingly. She cried silently into his shoulder.

"What's wrong?" He wiped away the tears and brushed away the hair that clung to the sides of her face.

"The other day, whilst we were broken up, Fabian told me..." Her voice cracked a bit, but she continued, "he told me that everyone hated me."

Jerome felt the anger in him rise, how could Fabian of all people be so cruel?

"Don't say anything!" Joy pleaded, gripping onto her boyfriend's hand.

"I have to. He hurt you." Jerome went to get up, but Joy pushed him back down. She may be tiny but she is strong.

"It'll cause trouble and bring unwanted attention. Can't we just be happy?" She smiled widely, causing her loose curls to bounce. Jerome nodded.

"Yay!" Joy squealed, about to get up.

"Joy?" He said, making her stop, "No one hates you."

She just shrugged, "Some do, some don't. You win some you lose some."

"I love you," He mumbled awkwardly. Joy froze, no one had told her that before. She felt a flood of happiness come over her.

"I love you too." She replied, and they both meant it.

Yay a Jeroy drabble! review.
