Chapter One
The moon shone through the branches as she padded through the woods. All around her she could hear all the sounds of nature but lots louder than humans. She could smell the crisp flowers and the rain that had just turned into a drizzle.
Maddy Smith has a secret. A very big one. She is a Wolfblood. She transforms on a full moon and if she gets angry, her eyes turn a piercing shade of yellow and her blood turns grey in her veins. She has very strong hearing, eye sight and smell, just like a wolves.
Maddy was running through the forest at top wolf speed. She was on her way to her house from school to tell her parents the good news. Rhydian had asked her on a date!
But when she opened the back door, she saw her mum and dad sitting at the table wearing the most gloomy faces she had seen all day. She could smelp human. But where from? Then, out of the shadows, Dr. Whitewood came, "Hello Maddy" she said. her dad looked at Maddy and said, "She knows."
