September Event: Back to School; Prompt: Class/Revision Schedule (object)

Rose chewed on her quill, studying her class schedule at the Gryffindor table in the Great Hall. It was early morning, and she had gotten there promptly so she could examine and plan things before anyone else arrived. The schedules had come the morning prior and were thoroughly discussed with her other friends, but this was the first opportunity she had peace to herself without being badgered with questions about certain courses or mentions of having class with others.

She replaced her quill with toast, nibbling on the bread while looking at the schedule. Rose swept her red, curly hair back with her free hand; but as soon as she did, a shadow loomed in front of her. At the sound of them clearing their throat, Rose inwardly groaned and looked up to the grinning, platinum blond male.

"Shut up, Malfoy" she said pointedly.

Scorpius pouted childishly before sitting across from Rose at the table. "But I hadn't said anything yet!"

"I don't care. I knew it was coming."

He rolled his eyes and puffed up his chest. "Of course you did. You know me so well." Scorpius grinned slyly, "So what classes do you have?"

Rose cut her eyes towards him, but looked back to her paper. "None of your business."

"You're acting as if I wouldn't find out anyway."

"Then why would you ask?"

Scorpius raised a finger and opened his mouth to retort, but there wasn't anything he could say to actively refute her. He closed his mouth and glared at her.

Rose grinned smugly. "Nothing else to say?"

"I'm just thinking and wondering if I glare hard enough, your feelings for me will change."

She blinked. "Are you being serious right now?"

"Maybe."

"That's the most immature ploy that I've ever seen you attempt in the years we've gone to this school together."

Scorpius grinned and took the toast from Rose's hand, biting into the other side of it. Rose gave Scorpius a threatening stare. "Run."

"You're not really going to-"

Rose jumped at Scorpius and the boy bolted away from the table. She made a small noise of satisfaction when he was out of sight and grabbed for another piece of toast, biting into it. Before she could focus back on her planning, other students began to fill the Great Hall; Rose sighed as her moments for peace were gone.
