Hey! I'm not sure where this came from, but I rather like it. So, enjoy.

Just Harry

They look

And they see only a hero

Confident, strong

Powerful and secure

They never see the truth

Lucky, protected

Insecure and unsure

When you listen

Do you hear me?

When you look,

Do you see me?

Do you see the scar

Or the glasses and hair

Or the green eyes?

Or do you see Harry

Just Harry

Glances and whispers

Stares and shouts

Always watching

Never seeing

What lies beneath

The stories and lies

A boy

Who misses his mum

Who's never known his dad

That's all I am

But no one knows

For all they see

Is the scar

The glasses and hair

And the eyes.

I am not James

I am not Lily

I am not

The Boy-Who-Lived

I am Harry

Simply, only,

Just Harry

Why am I

Held above the rest

For something

I did not do?

Why is my mother

Forgotten, ignored, dismissed,

When she is the hero?

They look

And they see

Their hope,

Their hero,

Their Savior

The Chosen One

They are wrong

I am a child

I have no great power

I cannot save them

I am only Harry

Just Harry

Yet the fate of the world

Is placed on my shoulders

I am expected

To take the burden

Without complaint

Without knowledge or forewarning

Do they truly

See a hero in me?

If that's true

Then I wish I could see him too

For all I see

Is me

Just Harry

Review please? I'd appreciate it very much.
