Super Elite Final Lesson
"Tekkan Aira." Tekkan crossed his right arm across his chest and stood at attention almost instinctively as his mentor, the supreme chief of the Counter Special Criminal division of the Special Police Dekarangers, called his name. He was of course eager to do so, for Lisa Teagle was a woman who commanded the respect of all her subordinates. "You have done well in your Tokkyou training up to this point." Tekkan kept his expression impassive; Lisa had drilled into him the importance of keeping his cool and composure at all times, so he knew that her statement was merely one of fact and not a matter of praise. "However, there is more to the Gold Badge than the ability to draw out the full potential of the Brace Throttle; there are criminals out there that will require subterfuge and deception to detain and render the verdict passed down upon them by the Ultimate Court at the End of the Universe."
"I understand, Chief." While the bulk of his training up to this point had resided in combat techniques and piloting the DekaBike, both in its standard form and in its Robo form, he held every confidence that he would pass this lesson.
"It is good that you do." She then snapped her fingers, and a hole appeared in the ground before her. In that hole was a box marked by the Gold Badge of the Tokkyou. "In the five minutes that I am gone, you are to make use of the items in this box. I will then evaluate the results, though they will likely prove lacking at this stage of your training." She turned and left, the door closing shut behind her.
Takkan Aira looked down at the box dismissively. "Nonsense." The words pursed his lips; what could possibly be in this box that would present such a challenge to him, the Daybreak Detective? Upon opening the box, he found out, and realized that the Chief had the right of it.
"Tetsu!" Umeko impatiently stamped her feet as he came back to his senses. "I asked you where you learned to cross-dress so well, and when your leader asks you a question, you answer it!"
"Nonsense." Tetsu muttered with just a subliminal hint of embarrassment. "It's just a skill I've always had." Yet despite that, DekaBright, the Chief, Lisa Teagle, still had his undying respect and admiration.
