Slowly, Pete staggered out of the basement he was locked in, through a window he had just broken. As he looked outside, he saw the sun for the first time in years. Pete breathed in the fresh air, and basked in the warm sunlight.

"Mrrrmph *click* boop boop!" Elliott greeted Pete, as he approached the outside of the basement.

"Hi Elliott! Thanks for bringing me food when I was down there! You saved me!". Then, for the first time, the two friends hugged. You see, Pete had been locked in the Gogans basement for years, but they rarely fed him. Their abuse was fueled by his first (failed) escape; they released their wrath on their poor child slave, by keeping him in a basement, with little to no food. Elliott had come along and found Pete in their basement, starving, but couldn't break him out. So, he brought Pete food, and shoved it through a small hole in the wall.

The two friends decided it would be wise of them to go towards the city, and to find a place to stay. They passed miles and miles of farm land and orchards. Along the way, they stopped to eat some apples.

Elliott breathed his fire onto one of the apples, cooking it thoroughly. "Mmm, you're a good cook, Elliot!" Pete complemented his dragon with a full mouth.

The two continued on to the city. Although Pete knew not where he was going, Elliott had it all planned out- God had told him what to do when he sent Elliott to save Pete.

"Pass...a...ma...quoddy..." Pete slowly read off of the sign in front of the small seaside town. "Passamaquoddy! Sounds like a nice place!"

Elliott nodded, but with some hesitancy. He didn't want to give Pete false hope, because he knew what would happen in Passamaquoddy.

"Now, Elliott," started Pete, "We want the people in Passamaquoddy to like us! And, you're... well... kinda big! And we don't wanna scare anyone, do we?"

But Elliott knew he would have to scare people in order for Nora to find Pete. So, he decided to buy time while he thought out his plan. He made only certain areas of himself invisible, until finally, Pete had enough.

"I'm sorry! I know how you feel, but the whole thing has to go!" Pete commanded Elliott. Then, the dragon was visibally gone, without a trace but his gargantuous footprints.

And with a skip and a bip, Elliott and Pete entered the small fishing town of Passamaquoddy.
