Life really just wasn't the same without him. Every second of every day passed by in a blur. A never ending cycle of unsettling, intolerable, misery. For upon each morning to which I awoke could I feel nothing but the ghosting of fingertips that weren't there, of brilliant smiles that shined almost to brightly, of clear blue eyes filled with so much love I felt I would exploded. He would reach toward me, his hand outstretched. 'Come back.' I would feel such emotion as I lent toward him, the one I longed for. 'Back to me.' Only to fall into an emotional sea of darkness as I realized it was nothing but a dream. A lie.

'It's not real!' I would shout at myself, laying unmoving on a multitude of sheets. A visual perspective of my inner torment. Hes not real, not anymore.

I walked down the empty hallways toward what I imagine was once a training field. My teacher stood tall and proud ('Of what?' I wonder.) as he watches me approach, my feet never making a sound. "Sasuke." He would hiss, his voice dripping with expectation, I dare not acknowledge. "Orochimaru" I greeted. Nothing more was said as we danced in a flurry of fists and kicks, of ninjutsu and genjustu.

By the time my training is over the field (which hadn't look to great to begin with) was far beyond repair. I sigh as exhaustion seeps into every fiber of my being. "Rest." My teacher command's his back to me as he walks to the exit. "Rest and recover, We have many things to do tomorrow. I suppose it goes without saying that I expect nothing less of perfection from you, Sasuke." He explains, turning briefly to glance over my beaten form.

Orochimaru has informed me that he is being hunted down by a group called 'Akatsuki.' The group to which my brother sworn allegiances. Also I was told we are keeping a close eye on him not only for updates on Itachi's whereabouts, but it would seem that he has somehow manged to kill not one but three Akatsuki members. Kakazu, Hidan, and Sasori. "How ...Impressive," My teacher had said "It would seem your old teammates training with that fool Jiraya has paid off in the end."

I had offered no acknowledgement on the matter, revenge was what prompted me to leave and revenge is what keeps me here.

Getting side tracked will get me no closer to my goal. Itachi's head on a platter and...

Recently I've found my self wondering if Orachimaru's should join. Hmm, decisions, decisions.
