A/N: This story has been already written in my native language, and my cousin(TheLastShiningStar) translated it to English for me. I was too lazy O_O So thanks to her for it!
During The Sunset
It was already evening at the end of the summer and the sun over Konoha was just setting down beyond the horizon. Hardly anyone paid attention to this phenomenon, bet among those watching it was one shinobi.
The young black-haired girl was sitting on the roof of sumptuous house, watching the coming sunset and thinking about something.
About life, about future.
"The others from the family treat me with respect," she thought, "they add respectful -sama behind my name and they're always happy to do everything for me. As a member of the main family I get appropriate respect according to it. But..."
She stopped. "There's always some but."
The sun was still slowly setting down. How much this girl loved the sunsets... It was almost down, the girl focused her lavender eyes on it.
"But how long it will stay like this?" The question she was asking herself for quite a long time, almost every day. "Until I leave the Academy? Until nee-chan grows up? Until she takes the lead of the clan? What then, when the time comes? The member of the main family will become just a servant. They will give me the cursed seal and they'll stop calling me with the honorable -sama."
She sighed.
"And what about otou-san and nee-chan? How will they then, when this happens, look at me? Will I be still my father's daughter? Will Hinata see me as a sister, or just as an average member of the minor family? I know she's not like that, but what if?" She frowned. The but again...
She knew it will come one day. It was clear to her, but she wasn't happy for that. As Neji-kun liked to say, it was her fate. She will be, just like Neji's father, discharged from the main family and put into the minor one, because she is younger. She was born as the second one. And "the second" in this family means only the bad.
"Hmm, I was just late. Just about five years." She laughed about that irony. She felt that it was quite unfair, this Main and Minor family. "Why must there, inside one clan, one family, be such a conflict, such hate? Why can't we live as normal people?" She was asking again and again. She guessed that this is one of the things for which there isn't any answer.
Once the day, her rejection will come. She knew that. And she was scared of that. She just hoped that it won't come very soon.
The sun was already completely down and the whole village sunk into the darkness. Here and there a light lit up in the window, hesitantly, more were joining them. After a while the whole Konoha was lit up and shining brightly.
"Hanabi-sama!" a voice came from below.
The black-haired girl sighed again and looked at the sky for the last time. The moon already showed up on the horizon.
"Hanabi-sama!" again, this time closer. That annoying person disturbed her thinking.
"Maybe it's better." crossed her mind. So this day is already over.
"Hai, I'm coming." She responded and jumped down from the roof, dark thoughts forgotten for now. Now is the night and it will cover all sadness. But another day will come and only that will show us our future.
