My version of season 1 of The Vampire Diaries, oh and will eventually be Delena.

After hours of staring at the clock in ach one of her classes, it was finally time for Elena to head home. Bonnie had caught up with her after their history lesson and asked if she had wanted to go to the library but Elena refused. All she wanted to do was go home, snuggle up under a warm blanket, and write in her diary about all her problems and then go to her warm bed to fall in to sleep's grasp, hoping to never wake up.

AS the second bell rang, indicating the students that they should all be on their buses by now, Elena slowly made her way to her car, in a trance-like state. The only thing that caught her attention was the hooded figure stumbling out of the back door of one of the classrooms.

Elena's eyes widened as she realised who it was, "JEREMY! "

It came out louder than she intended it to be but right now, that was the least of her problems. She grabbed his shoulder, turning him and his attention towards her.

"Hey sis. "Said Jeremy, calmly.

Elena sighed, "Why do you have to make this so hard? "

"Chill, Lena. "

"Chill? Really, Chill? Is that some sort of stoner talk? Jer, getting high is not going to solve any of your problems for more than a couple of hours. " Said Elena, staring hard in to his eyes.

"Maybe you should stop getting in to my business, it's my life, not yours, Elena. " replied Jeremy, making a move to walk away.

But Elena didn't let him go just like that, "Jeremy, please just listen to me. I know what you're going through and I'm feeling the exact same thing as you, but you're just making it harder on yourself if you're making yourself feel like this. "

Jeremy sighed and knocked her hand off his shoulder, walking away angrily. Elena had to fight off the tears that were threatening to spill.

She picked up her phone, dialling Bonnie's number; she had to talk to someone before she did something she would regret later.

"Lena? " Bonnie's voice asked through the phone speakers.

"Yeah it's me, I wanted to know if you were still going to the library. ", said Elena, running a hand through her loose, dark hair.

"Sure, I'll meet you there in five. " said Bonnie.

They said their goodbyes and hung up as Elena made her way to the library.

**** The Vampire Diaries Season 1 ****

"I just don't know what to do anymore, I- " she didn't finish her sentence, she was too distracted by someone across the room that wouldn't stop watching at her. Their eyes locked, they were looking at each other the way people in love looked at each other.

"Lena what are you staring at- " she shut up when she spotted what Elena was staring at or rather who she was staring at.

The man immediately stopped looking at Elena the second Bonnie looked at him; she frowned at the sudden stop. The young man seemed deep in thought, a frown on his face.

Elena broke out of her trance-like state when the man stood up and hurriedly walked out.

For the rest of the day, she couldn't get the image of the young man out of her head. Especially his hypnotizing sapphire eyes.

****The Vampire Diaries****

"Damon, what did you do to her? I swear, if you hurt her- " Stefan was cut off by Damon's over exaggerated sigh.

"Oh relax, brother. I didn't hurt her, I just sat and watched her for a while and I gotta say, she is a dead ringer for Katherine. " replied Damon, calmly.

Stefan yelled out his next words in rage, "WHY did you come here, Damon? "

Damon rolled his eyes, "Well I saw you take a sudden interest in our little home town and you know me. I got curious. " said Damon, slowly turning away from him and walking out the door.

Stefan sighed and slumped down in one of his armchairs. He didn't know why his brother was back but he needed to find out.
