All it took was a day knowing Kurt for Sam to realize 1) He was bi. 2) This school hated anything out of the ordinary and 3) He was in deep shit. Hell, all it took was one look for Sam to realize that.

Sam realized just how much shit he was in when he'd gotten closer to him.
He didn't really care.
He asked him out anyway, homophobes be damned.

The guy came out of no where, knocking him to the ground and the ball bouncing away.
Not that Sam got to see it bouncing away.

Kurt was in glee when Sam's mother called the school to say he was more injured then they all thought.
Mr. Schuester looked right at him as he told everyone how bad Sam was hurt, his eyes full of pity and sadness.
Kurt was just happy only glee club got to see him break down.

Kurt always hated hospitals.
The smells, the sounds, the colors, everything all brought a wave of sadness over him.
He paced until the doctor said he could go in.

The sight of his boyfriend, his Sam, looking so broken, made Kurt's breathe catch in his throat.
Kurt slipped his small hand into Sam's bigger one, tears falling down his cheeks slowly.
"Oh god" Kurt murmured, trying not to cry more then he already was. "Oh God...Sam...Sammy...oh god" He ran his hand down Sam's cheek. "Please Sam, wake up. I need you."

He stayed there for hours, talking to an unresponsive Sam through tears and holding his hand as if it were his lifeline.
He woke up at 12:13AM.

Sam pulled Kurt over closer to him, hating the stupid hospital bed railing.
He pressed their lips together quickly.
"I love you" Kurt said brushing tears away.
Sam smiled. "Love you too." He said, pulling their lips back together.
This is just...awful .

Also, wouldn't it be great if Kurt started calling Sam, Sammy? I think it would be cute :)
