A/N: I know this is short, but it's main purpose is to establish the relationship between a few of the characters. Please read and review.
Prologue
She comforted her crying friend. How could she allow this to happen over and over again? She pressed a tissue into her friend's hand and cursed the guy that was putting her through this hell. Never, she vowed, would she go through the pain of falling in love only to be left devastated. Around them people whispered and pointed. She wanted to yell and ask what they were looking at; unfortunately she needed to focus.
"Danni?" The small voice said forcing her to return her attention to the girl in front of her, "Don't do anything too drastic. Will you?"
Danielle Macmillan closed her eyes and counted to ten. Did she want to do something drastic, hell yes, but would she go against the wish of a friend, no. God, she hated having such an easily influenced conscience. She brushed the hair back from her friend's tear stained cheeks, "Of course not. Would beating him up be too drastic?"
The girl laughed and dabbed at her eyes. "Yes."
"Why don't you head to class? You've got art next and that always makes you happy." Danni stated glancing over her shoulder at the group of boys that stood on the far side of the hall. "Everything will work out in the end Hinata. Go on."
She watched her friend slip into the crowd, heading toward the art rooms and she headed toward the boys, her camera case bouncing against her hip. The look on her face almost murderous when she saw the sheepish looking blonde boy at the back of the group, and when she took a step toward him she found her path cut short when he stepped in her way.
Her gaze shot up to meet his onyx, "What?"
"You can't kill him," he said seriously.
"I never said I was going to and besides we could win the game without him." She replied stepping behind him and continuing on her way. She saw the blonde's blue eyes widen and he tried hiding behind his friend beside him.
"Okay look Danni. I have no clue what I did but all I know is she saw me and started crying." Naruto Uzumaki stated, his head slowly turning toward her.
"How about kissing that slut at the party on Saturday?" She asked, hoping to clue in the hopelessly clueless.
"Who? You mean Sakura?" He asked carefully putting some distance between him and the angry looking brunette.
"No I mean Saiyuri Morimoto. Christ, I hardly know Sakura. What were you thinking about exactly besides getting into her pants? It obviously wasn't about your girlfriend being about what six feet away. Hurt her again and then I will hurt you, do you understand?" She said leaning up into his face.
He saluted her, "Yes captain."
She sighed and walked in the direction she came from, she stopped and said, "Keep him away from her for awhile." She studied him as the bell rang, "One day I'm going to photograph you with that bored look you have on your face. It's appealing on some levels. But first math time."
Sasuke Uchiha watched her walk away. The only girl in school that didn't follow him everywhere and didn't squeal when he came near her, it helped to that she thought herself one of the guys more than any of the girls. She had somehow made it on to their baseball team and proved to be one of the better players they had and one of the ones he could actually stand.
She'll be a photographer, he thought and went on his way to science class.
"You little whore!" He heard her yell and then a thump against the wall as he walked by the classroom.
Either that or a convict, he added when he heard the teacher give her a detention.
