So, I've looked through this story and I've decided to revamp some of this stuff my sister wrote. Madara' s Heart is a chapter story now, just cause I feel it'll do better that way. Also, their relationship is going to be a bit different because we don't see Madara in the same light obviously. Leave comments, don't be an ass.

Why was I so cold?

Sensation was slow to return to my mangled body as the dust cleared from a battle that had obviously taken place not that long ago, leaving me staring out over a war zone. Everything was sanguine in color, as most battle fields were, and I could see the bodies of the fallen warriors that had died for an unknown cause. The stench of death hit me in the face before the sight actually burned into my mind's eye.

Panic rose into my chest, and I pulled my resisting body up from the dirt. I forced my feet forward but my vision was starting to fade again. My lips parted as everything started to blackened again. My body falling forward. My breath escaping my lips as a desperate cry fell from my lips into the empty battle field.

As I hit the ground I watched as two feet slowly approached me. The steps that this person took were skillful. Never touching a body even though the field was littered with them.

Was this a cruel joke? Was I already dead?

I couldn't tell, but the slowing beat beat in my chest told me that I was in fact alive. It also informed me that I probably wouldn't be for much longer. This was it, I knew that pleading would get me no where, this demon was going to take my soul from my body and let my life fade.

I closed my eyes, letting my body calm a bit as acceptance washed over my mind slowly. Darkness slowly swallowing my world.

"Madara, I found a girl." The younger of the two brothers cradled the woman to his chest, chest as he approached his elder. "She's fading fast."

Madara looked at his brother, "What do you want me to do with her?" He asked as he attempted to find any Uchiha who may be in need of medical care.

"We can't just leave her out here to die," he said as he watched the girl carefully.

Madara looked at her, his eyes bloody and cold, "you are responsible for her Izuna."

"Alright, we need to go now though."

The brothers ran off toward Uchiha. Both bloody and battered, Izuna holding the girl close. Neither spoke on the way back. Each step was silent. Each minute seeming to take an eternity, but when the medics took the girl Izuna sighed in relief.

Perhaps his brother didn't see it yet, but Izuna wanted to know more about her. He was curious, and more importantly he wanted to know how she had lived through the devastating battle that had taken place moments before before she had been stumbled upon by the younger Uchiha.

He had seen the devastating effect of his brother's anger, and that's exactly what had happened because there had been a moment when Madara had thought something had happened to him.

And yet, despite all of this she was alive. Even if it was just barely.

"Izuna, are you coming?" Madara asked as he watched his little brother.

"Yeah," he muttered softly, "coming,"
