Blythe came home from school; it's been a few years since she lived in the apartment above Littlest Pet Shop, she was about 18, and going to College next year, she could now drive as well.

She went into the Day Camp to check on her friends, the pets, Russell was now a senior hedgehog, Pepper, Vinnie, Zoe and Sunil were adults, and Penny and Minka were bigger.

When she came in, she saw Russell Ferguson lying on his bed, knocked out, and the other pets looked distressed.

"What's going on here?" Asked an older Blythe, she was about 18, and going to College next year.

"It's Russell, we were playing and suddenly he couldn't get up!" Penny Ling said.

The other pets were calling Russell's name, but he still would not wake up!

"Mrs. Twombly!" Blythe called.

"What is it dear?"

"Russell has fainted!"

Mrs. Twombly rushed into the day camp and picked up Russell.

"We need to take him to the vet!" Mrs. Twombly and Blythe got in the car and took Russell to the animal hospital. When they got there, they called Russell's owners and told them what happened; they came over to see what was going on.

"I'm sorry," the doctor said. "There is only one thing left to do for Russell, we're going to have to euthanize him, why don't you come in and say your goodbyes."

And that's what they did. Finally Russell woke up. "B-Blythe, is that you?"

"I'm sorry, Russell, but you aren't going to live much longer…"

"Well, Blythe, this happens to all pets and humans too…"

"I'm going to miss you Russell, I know the others will too…"

The doctor came in with a syringe and gave Russell a shot.

"Goodbye Russell…"

Russell shut his eyes and fell asleep for the last time.

When Blythe got home she went up to her room crying. She cried for hours.

The pets were worried so they went up the dumbwaiter to go to her room as well.

"Blythe, what's the matter, darling?" Zoe asked.

"R-Russell, is… d-d-dead!"

Suddenly a wave of emotion went over the six pets; then they all began to cry loudly, Pepper started to smell really bad. When the pets calmed down, they went back into the dumbwaiter and back into the day camp.

"It's not fair!" Sunil moped. "It's just not fair!"

"I can't believe this happened!" Penny Ling said, still having tears in her eyes.

"WHY, WHY did it happen, why did Russell have to leave us?!" Minka cried.

"How will we run the day camp without Russell?" Zoe asked.

Every pet hung their head wondering what could have happened to make Russell leave without telling them where he went.

Well, that's Chapter One, I may or may not make more, I chose Russell because hedgehogs have the lowest life span of these 7 animals.
