We didn't believe that it could be true.

We still can't believe you're gone.
We dismissed it, without a care,
But the possibility was there.
Tragic news, and a heart-broken nation,
The whole world fell silent.
You leave behind a legacy like no other.
Father, Mother, sisters and brothers.
Your children also, they still remain.
Your music inspired, made some cry.
Life won't be the same without you.
They say time heals all wounds.
But this one is different.
We cried at your funeral.
So many, paid their respects,
To a man that changed the world.
But now, that world weeps for you.
Life is far too precious to take for granted.
We found that out the hard way.
